Hi all, hoping someone could help with my question. When I change the type of a Risk to an Issue, the system seems to delete the risk record, replacing it as an Issue with a unique ID. Is this expected behavior?

If you are doing that through the “Change Type” menu - then yes I believe that is expected behavior as you are changing the type of object.
In our situation - we created a custom action, that creates an Issue from the Risk and closes the Issue, then we work in the Risk. This enables us to see how many risks we had, and maintain that history.
