The Future of Project Execution: Humans and AI Working Side by Side

Our team is in the early stages of moving from a more hierarchical, waterfall-style way of working to more of a product and agile mindset, and we’re using AgilePlace as part of that transition.I’d love to hear from others who have been through something similar. If you have any tips, lessons learned, or things you wish you had done differently, I’d really appreciate hearing them.A few questions we’re working through:How did you structure your board(s) as your team made the shift? Did you use one shared board or separate boards for different work types? How did you decide what work should be visible on the board? What helped your team adopt a more product-focused and agile way of working? Thanks so much in advance for any advice you’re willing to share!
When we introduce new business areas to AgilePlace one of the first questions we get is “what reporting is available”. I’m curious how others have solved this issue for their users, whether that’s a report solution or a conversation that has changed their mind on needing reports. I do understand we can connect AP to Power BI but where do users go to see that report if we do not utilize BI cloud?Appreciate any insight or guidance others may be able to provide as we continue down this journey. Thank you,Pam SargentNASCO
We’re excited to announce Enhanced Dependency Management, designed to help teams work smarter by establishing clear, contextual relationships between work items that depend on each other.Unlike parent-child relationships that show work breakdown, dependencies highlight when one piece of work must progress before another can move forward.🔑 Key Capabilities Create dependencies between cards on the same or different boards (incoming & outgoing). Add rich context with metadata like timing (Finish-to-Start, Finish-to-Finish, etc.). View from both sides – see dependencies directly from each connected card. Dedicated tabs in card details for Parent/Child and Dependency relationships. Quick connect option via right-click for faster workflows. 📌 Managing Dependencies Dependencies Tab: Review, update, and track all incoming/outgoing dependencies. Parent/Child Tab: Manage hierarchy alongside dependencies for a full picture. Context Menu Shortcut: Quickly connect existing cards a

Hello everyone, In our teams, we use the description section in the details area to show how topics are developing. Each of us writes today's date in the description and adds some text below it. I would like to use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+period, as in Excel, to speed things up. Could you please implement this feature? That would be great. Thank you!
We’re testing a new capability to make tracking, creating, and managing work dependencies easier than ever in AgilePlace.✅ Clear relationships with details on why work depends on each other✅ Visual connections right on your boards✅ Automatic conflict detection✅ Simple, unified dependency tracking📅 Join the Labs program for early access and help shape this feature with your feedback.

We’ve got a customer who would like to have their AgilePlace users track time (actual effort) on cards. Are there any creative solutions for this? I know we can set up a custom numeric field and just have the users manually add their hours to any value already there. For instance, if three hours have already been logged on a card, and I work two more hours on that task, I could update the custom field’s value from “3” to “5”. But this seems like it would be prone to human error. Has anyone devised a better solution to tracking actual effort on cards?
Hello! Looking to connect with a solution using the AgilePlace Odata to see what PowerBi visualizations you are are leveraging and how it’s going for you.
I am reaching out to seek guidance on the process of provisioning users from Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) into the Planview platform. Our organization is currently integrating various systems and it is crucial for us to ensure a seamless user management experience. We have already implemented Single Sign-On (SSO) for our users.Could you please provide detailed information on the following:The steps required to set up user provisioning from Azure AD to Planview. Any prerequisites or configurations needed on both Azure AD and Planview. Supported attributes and user data that can be synchronized. How to automatically assign boards to users upon provisioning. Troubleshooting common issues that might arise during the provisioning process. Documentation or resources that we can refer to for further understanding.Your assistance in this matter would be highly appreciated. We aim to implement this integration as efficiently as possible and any guidance you can offer will be invaluable.Tha
Is there any way to implement user provisioning in PPM Pro and AgilePlace?
Hi,Has anyone integrated Portfolios with AgilePlace using Planview Hub? We have a lot of information coming from Jira into AgilePlace; however, we cannot move that data to Portfolios. The out-of-the-box (OTB) Planview sync only allows a very small set of fields to be migrated.
We are adopting Planview portfolio and Planview agile place, our enterprise has been on an agile journey for a number of years and we are facing some resistance to adopting a common sprint and increment cadence in some of our business groups - has anyone faced this? Ideally there is a common quarterly increment ‘window’ and pattern of sprint start/end within the quarter. Curious to see if others had an issue with this?
Hi everyone,Curious if anyone has had any luck using Card Automation to kick off mirroring. Or using custom fields to drive Card Automation. Thanks!
Just wondering if anyone has been able to add a table type formatting in the comments text box.
I am curious if I am truly the only one in the AgilePlace community having this issue or if others are experiencing it also. When a user is assigned to a card on a board they should automatically get subscribed to that card. I/Pam am having an issue of when I am assigned through the card details I am not getting subscribed, however if someone was to right click on a card and assign me then I am subscribed. Note: subscription is what triggers email notifications. High level steps I took to test this out:Create a card In card details assign yourself Save & Close Give it a few seconds Right click on card and see if it says "Subscribe" or "Unsubscribe" If it says "Unsubscribe" then you were automatically subscribed to it. Next (either create a new card or unassign from the previous card) Right click on a card and assign yourself Give it a few seconds Right click on card and see if it says "Subscribe" or "Unsubscribe" If it says "Unsubscribe" then you were not automatically subscribe
Your software toolchain is complex – your integrations shouldn’t be.Your teams want what they want. And usually what they want is to work in the tool they like the best. Until now, that meant spending hundreds of wasted hours doing manual data entry to maintain accurate information across your whole organization. Now, with an improved integration based on Planview Hub, you can reclaim those hours and put them toward something more productive. Planview Hub’s integration will sync data automatically across AgilePlace, and the rest of your software toolchain. Not only that, but you’ll see improved productivity thanks to:A tangible connection from planning strategy all the way to execution at the team level, so you can measure the impact of software delivery A future-proof organization supported by an integration solution that grows and expands along with your toolchain A Universal Connector that you can use to bring those in-house or industry-specific solutions into the fold Easier audits
Hi everyone - I’m new here :)We are in the process of building a ‘big room planning’ view in AgilePlace and curious how others have set up their data.I have a number of teams boards I would like to integrate into a Program or Portfolio board view. I have added the horizontal rows for each of the team boards, but can’t figure out how to make the cards from the team boards to appear in the Program. And, because we are very new at this discipline, I would love to hear from others if there is a better way to go about setting up the planning. Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone! The new AgilePlace card design is ready for Labs 🎉 Please comment on this post if you would like to have this enabled for your users in either sandbox or production. If you join the Labs program, I will follow up in a week’s time for a feedback conversation.
On the Card Scoring in AgilePlace, when performing a scoring based on WSJF a lot of practioners utilize some sort of modified Fibonnaci sequence to score in each of those categories. At first glance, I can’t seem to make these types of customizations, and it looks like if I want to utlize a modified Fibonnaci scoring for WSJF then I’ll need to precalculate score for those 4 areas and then enter it in the “Score” box manually. Is there anyway to edit the Card Scoring metrics/categories so it can accept 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 20 either manually typing it in or via a custom drop down?
