We are planning to use the function getwidgethyperlink in a WFR to create a link to the Project Gantt in a url field on all Tasks and also include the link in our Executable Task emails.The current issue is that the Gantt is only displaying the following columns: ID, Name, Start Date, Due Date and % Complete.  We need it to display different columns.Where is this function getting the layout for the Gantt?I’ve read some AI responses that state it is pulling it from the last “saved view” when viewing the Project.  That is not accurate, the layout described above does not match any of our Gantt views saved in our Project views.Please help… what am I missing?

We are implementing entity separation in Planview across two organizations (e.g., Company A and Company B) that collaborate on shared initiatives. A key requirement is that named resources from one entity must not be visible to users in the other entity, even when the project or initiative is owned or managed by the opposite entity.Have you implemented cross‑entity project ownership while masking named resources? How do you handle actuals posting where PMs can see effort and cost, but only at the role level? What Planview configurations or patterns did you use (resource masking, role‑based actuals, aggregated capacity, financial‑only access)? Were there trade‑offs or limitations, especially for PM roles or approvals?

Our PMs work really hard to edit the Shift Screen in ICP, but then they have to go and push the schedules of every project after we publish. Is there a way to Publish ICP to update the schedules in work portfolio to Shift Schedules?Same question for the Balance function, we are not using that yet but it is so much double work to ask them to figure out the Plan in Planning ICP area, then go in and change every project is there something that can automate all that work once the decisions are published?

Is project Rate override not working for anyone else. We have a team member who needs to have a different rate at the project level.  They are actually going to have a zero rate. We can not get any project level rate to save anymore.  Is anyone else seeing this. 

Hello, I had reached out about an issue where Validation Rules and Workflow Rules don’t fire on the mobile app. I was informed that it is because the mobile app uses API and several of our Workflow Rules check for NOT(IsTriggeredBy(‘API’)) to allow for our integrations to make API calls on the web page. We need to have the ability to separate out the IsTriggeredBy(‘API’) function to differentiate between the mobile app and the web app to prevent users from taking unwanted actions in the mobile app.

Currently, the GetWidgetHyperLink() function used in workflow rules only supports generating widget links for Gantt and Roadmap views.Customers using workflow rules to send automated emails would like the ability to dynamically generate a widget link for the Project Overview (card view). This is especially useful when emails are sent to stakeholders who do not have AdaptiveWork licenses but still need visibility into project details.At present, the card view widget can only be created manually from the UI, which is not practical when workflows need to generate links dynamically for multiple projects.Requested Enhancement:Extend GetWidgetHyperLink() to support generating a Project Overview / Card View widget link that can be used in workflow-generated emails.Benefit:Allows automated workflow emails to share high-level project information with external or unlicensed stakeholders without requiring manual widget creation.

Has anyone created a BI report for Timesheet compliance??  We are trying to build one out via the automart and would like to see if other customers have also done this.  Thanks much 

I just want to add a user to a group in a workflow rule. Where is the Group User Link for new item type?

When selecting a risk to delete you are presented with the option to unlink or delete. When deleted, should the risk appear in the Recycle Bin? We couldn't find deleted risks reported by a PM in our Production Recycle Bin and when testing in our Sandbox the deleted risk also did not appear in the Recycle Bin. Is this expected behaviour?

We have Project resources that have “Team Member” license and we would like for them to be able to see the full project Gantt and update their tasks in that view. These resources work in several projects at the same time and the Tasks Module/ My work gets very confusing with all the tasks and sub-tasks that are listed. I know that they can enter the Tasks details and configure a view to show the Gantt + Grid and update the tasks in that view. Still, they need to be able to find which is the “main task” that can provide the biggest “umbrella”, otherwise they might end up in one of the sub-items. For a tool that claims to be collaborative this is a limitation that decreases team engagement. Ideally, the team member should be able to view and update only the tasks assigned to them, without messing around with the other team members tasks. Does anyone found a workaround? And a widget of the full project is not the solution, since it’s read only. Thanks

Hello community, could use some advice on how best (if possible) to build a report that shows the total hours logged against specific work items of our Internal project vs. total hours logged against the rest of our billable projects? Is it possible to report on both levels within the same tab? The goal is to show the breakdown of hours logged against Admin tasks with our Internal project VS total hours logged against all our billable projects.Thank you!

Hello, We would like the ability to have a self-service option to enable/disable the AdaptiveWork Mobile App. There are gaps in functionality (e.g. configurations are not enforced) that allow users to do things that are undesired. Being able to at least disable the mobile app temporarily would give us a good stop-gap while those gaps are addressed.

Hello, We would like to be able to disable the + icon at the bottom of the menu at the organization level for the AdaptiveWork Mobile App or at least be able to hide the Start Stopwatch and New Task options. We don’t want users to be able to use a stopwatch as it causes issues with our billing and we only want specific users to be able to create Tasks.We have the + option hidden with CSS on the web for most profiles, but it seems that CSS is not supported on the Mobile App.

Hello, We would like to be able to disable the Call Work, Call Mobile, and SMS options on the mobile app as we do not use this functionality and it causes unnecessary clutter and confusion. The options show at the top of the user profile on the mobile app.

I am writing a workflow rule, and I want to send an email in this rule and include a link to the widget version of the project, since some of the recipients will not have licenses.  However, when I try to use the function GetWidgetHyperLink Function - Planview Customer Success Center, I see that my only choices are ‘Gantt’ or ‘Roadmap’. Why can’t I do just a regular card view, like when you generate the widget by hand? Is there any way around this? I really need the overview details, not the schedule. In other words, a dynamically generated widget link of the card view. 

Hi, We are wanting to change the default replace resource filter for ALL users in the system to ‘Filter Based on the Type of a Resource’. We cannot locate any default find window filters via profiles to modify, nor does the ‘Save as Default’ option in the bottom left set this as a default filter for all users.Where can we go to modify this filter and adjust the default filters in AdaptiveWork? Or is this a training issue where we need to train users to set the default accordingly for themselves?Thank you!  

Currently in the resource planning screen assignments are only visible if the resource has allocation at a task level - we plan our resourcing at the project level and so the majority of our project assignments are missing on this screen.

On the assign resource screen from capacity planning, it is not easily possible to over allocate a resource. If you want to assign the full demand to a resource even if that takes them over 1FTE, you have to manually override the assignment figure in the lower box for every week where that situation occurs. This means a lot of typing for a long project.  

The ‘replace resource’ functionality is really useful, but from a resource manager perspective it is hidden in a project screen. This functionality should be available from the capacity management screen for a resource manager to easily change one assigned resource for another.

Hi All,We’re expanding timesheets into an area where there is a requirement to track the actual times that resources clock in and out each day.  After reading through the documentation, I have enabled the Time Log feature, and it captures the details that we need.  However, I cannot find any reports to extract this level of detail.  I have reviewed the FastTrack reports as well as the schema for the Automart.  Is anyone else using this feature and how do you access the data other than by reviewing individual timesheets? Thanks

I am creating a conditional field flow where I would like to prevent an update to the state field if the due date is After to ‘Today’.  Is there a way to pass a variable like ‘Today’?  The filter works fine with a date value but need the date value to change every day.Thanks
