Round Time Up or Down

Hello everyone,I would like to be able to round up or down time that users submit.  For example, if the time is <= 12:07 it will round down to 12 but if it is >12:00 it will round up to 12:15.Can anyone assist with this please?Thanks

Time Off - Standard Activities

We have an issue when putting time off for individuals - Lets say two weeks in July.  Any assignment they are assigned doesn’t respect this time off. If just doubles the hours.  If they are mark as already having 100 utilization as being off, why does the system just add 40 hours to this any time the task is adjust or if they are assigned something new.  As people schedule for vacations it just puts them as over everywhere in the system.  Any thoughts on how to make this easier.

In Planview, Is it possible to see the date & time someone entered a resource forecast for a particular individual resource plus also any historical entries and when they changed? Trying to workout who entered a forecast first for a particular resource and when

Managing Milestone Roadmap Options?

Aside from the action menu ‘Roadmap Visibility’, is there any way to see how Milestones are set for display in roadmaps within a grid view like a normal field? Or to see how multiple milestones are set without having to actually launch a roadmap to see it.  By needing to make 2+ clicks just to see the option for each individual milestone (when not inside of a roadmap) is mind numbing.  Where is the setting stored and can it be exposed / managed via a field? Hoping there’s a better way… or maybe there will soon be a better way?

Custom Action to change views

Hi Everyone,Hoping this is an easy answer.  Is there a way to utilize a custom action to change the view of a project?  I have a couple use cases where I need to have a user change from a project details ‘overview’ view to a gantt chart view and would like to have that fire off via custom action rather than have the user manipulate the ‘project details’ view manually.I am leveraging the Dynamic Layouts to manipulate the project details, but need to move to a gantt view. Thank you!

Document Publisher interactions with Targets or Contributions

I have been trying to generate a document publisher report on a Project that creates a related table from the Targets module. Every approach I’ve tried has caused the file to be corrupted with the error “Word found unreadable content in test.docx. Do you want to recover the contents of this document? Approaches triedTargets via AssociatedItem (the obvious answer) Targets with my own reverse reference Targets via ContributingWorkItems (not sure if this is a real capability) Contributions AssociatedItem TargetHierarchyLink with my own reverse referenceI noticed the doc publisher macro template doesn’t include any reference to Targets or Objectives, so I’m wondering if perhaps it’s just not supported?I did verify that Slide Publisher can pull the same data out, so definitely just a problem specific to makin word docs.Interested to hear from anyone who has managed to generate a related table of targets in document publisher, and what sort of comment syntax you’re using :)

Custom Field to calculate what % of Financials Fields  I have a custom field that captures the Total Authorised committed (Sum of Actuals YTD + ERP Commitments) currency field and Low Estimated Budget (sum of 2025 & 2026 budget & 2027 budget) currency field.I want to calculate the % of (Total Authorised committed $ / Low Estimated Budget) *100 Error: Loop found in field 'C_TotalAuthorisedCommitted'

How to use a 'Portfolio Project Link' as Evaluation Criteria

Looking to create a Custom Action that is only available on projects that are associated to a particular Portfolio.  I was encouraged to attempt to reference portfolios by the ID field, rather than by name or use of a toggle, but a custom field(toggle) has been the only way I’ve been successful thus far.  I’ve tried using multiple syntax variations of the GetLink function but that doesn’t seem to support a Portfolio Project Link.  e.g. GetLink($ProjectPortfolioLink,'PF-101',CurrentObject()) » Error: Invalid field name: 'ProjectPortfolioLink'.   I’ve tried other Work Item-to-Work Item links without success.  Is a custom field on the project the way to go?  Should Reporting and KPIs be driven off of the toggle as well?

Splitting Resource Assignments on a Project (e.g. by different skills)

Hello, We have a case where some of our resources have multiple skills. How can we specify which skill is potentially being utilised on a Project when a resource is assigned?For example a PM adds Resource 1 who has two skills. On this particular project they are only utilising one skill. The PM adds Task Assignment over the required period etc. In reports, we can’t specify which skill is being utilised on the ProjectDoes anyone have any ideas to manage this or potentially another solution potentially through a custom field? e.g. a picklist in the Resource assignment panels when the PM can select which of the users skill is being utilised etc. Many Thanks

Adjusting a Resource’s Capacity with an Effective Date

What’s the best approach, if any, to set an effective date for a new capacity so that future tasks reflect the updated capacity, while past assignments and capacity remain unchanged? We pull capacity reports and are transitioning a full-time employee to part-time. When we update the capacity in the and dates in their calendar, it ends up affecting the capacity for past dates as well.

Non Labor - How to have multiple times the same non labor item (name) within a project, with different additional fields

I need to distinguish in my projects different non-labor expenses categories. This distinction shall be done per location. Example : “non-labor resources A” for location A, and “non-labor resources A” for location B.One of the solution would be to differentiate in the non-labor resources list them (ie “non-labor resources A location A” and a second one “non-labor resources A location B”). Doing so, the list of choices proposed to the project manager will explode (in my case more than 60), which will not be that easy for the userIve seen in the last AW documentation (see below) that there is an example with “vendor” column, whcih can be edited. Does it mean that i can have (to stay in the example below) multiple times “Telephone” with different vendor? Or there is still the limitation that the non labor resources can be used only once ?Any idea how i can solve my issue?

Closed Fiscal Month - Allocation adds days in the closed months

When adding a staff member to task that spans the end of month - and the historic month is fiscally closed - it still seems to add the allocation - changing the past, supposedly locked, financial forecast. Have I got how allocation works incorrect? Any tips?

Custom Object for dynamic scoring

Hi All!I am brand new to AdaptiveWork / Clarizen and trying to grasp how something like this would be built, and/or how easy it would be.Use Case:  We have about 20 fields with associated score values, and we wish to use the score values in a formula to calculate another field.Approach:  Rather than hardcoding the score values within a formula, I created a Custom Object with the possible field values and the associated scores. This seems easier to maintain than a ton of code. Also, I’m trying to learn how the product works so it’s also just for my curiousity.Question:  How hard is it to create Business Rule that looks at a field value, and then does a lookup to a record in a Custom Object and retrieve the Score value? I was able to get as far as retrieving a value from the Custom Object by using the GetObjectByID function, but only when I hardcoded in the ID.  I am looking to do a join on the Name field rather than ID between my request field and the possible entries of the Custom Obje

New to AdaptiveWork here and don’t know if we are missing something.How do we @mention all Project members (including Resources with Team Member license) in a discussion post started on the Project and from a discussion post started on any Task in the Project.We DO NOT want to create a discussion group for every single project.We have some ideas for custom actions or workflow rules but want to make sure we aren’t missing an easier option before creating workarounds.Any help would be greatly appreciated, we are going live in the next week and this is something that is required.Thank you so much!

API call to return a project's customer

Is it possible to return the name of a project’s related customer when querying the project via the API?  I believe the relationship is between project, customerlink and customer.  However, I can’t see how to relate customerlink to project as I get the following error:Query:https://api.clarizen.com/v2.0/services/data/query?q=SELECT name, sysid, customerlink.customer.name FROM project WHERE id = '<PROJECT ID HERE>'And got this result:    "errorCode": "InvalidField",    "message": "Entity 'Project' does not contain the field 'customerlink'", When I try to query the customerlink with the same project ID using:SELECT customer.name, entity.name FROM customerlink WHERE entity = '<PROJECT ID HERE>'Then I get the name from the customer table and the name from the project table.  I just don’t seem to be able to get the customer name by querying the project tableI’ve had this problem with other entities, specifically when trying to link tasks with files/attachments.If anyone has any

Uploading files/pictures via API

Is there any way to upload pictures or files from my local machine via the API? Looking into using Sharepoint’s API as a workaround assuming Adaptivework’s API doesn’t have this capability. But wanted to see if this is a functionality allowed by Adaptivework’s API or if there are any other good workarounds in the community Thanks!

Can a reviewer add more reviewers in project himself?

I have added few persons as reviewers by default when a new project is created. Project manager can add more reviewers later on also. But can a reviewer add another reviewer to same project? Is this functionality directly available or do we need to think to provide editor access to that particular reviewer to achieve this?

Demand intake & Resource planning

Hello everyone, I’m looking for advice and insights on how you’re utilizing the Resource Planning module to get a forward looking view of workload. Specifically, I’m interested in understanding how you’re managing and forecasting resource demands and capacity.Some questions I have: How do you use the resource planning module to anticipate future workload?  Are you creating dummy projects linked to demand to simulate upcoming work? If so, how effective has this been?  What strategies or practices have you found most useful for aligning resource availability with future project needs?  I’d greatle appreciate any examples, tips, or best practices that you can share.
