Hello,Would anybody know a way to add the file viewer widget to view/layout of a task that has files as attachments ?Or does anybody know how i could convert the image in html and display it in a rich text field or a custom panel ? 

We are evaluating the most cost effective way to manage our licenses so are currently defining an archive process based mostly on lack of use.  I’d also like to downgrade a Portfolio-R/W license to a View Only license if I could tell if the user has not made any data updates in the past three months or so.   Does anyone know a way to do this?We are also considering alternative solutions like report subscriptions to keep licensing costs down and wonder if others have pursued this or any other solutions?Thanks!

We’d like to see if others are interested in the functionality we’re hoping to have.  It would be very helpful to establish preset column set views by persona to improve the user experience. This customizes the view by each key person, removes unnecessary fields that are confusing to many users, minimizes initial setup, and removes the risk of losing set-up configurations tied to system cookies.  For example, currently we have team members customize their My Overview screen as part of their initial set up by unselecting unnecessary fields and reorder columns, but it would improve user experience if admins can preset them before their first time login.  Has anybody received feedback from end users like this before?

Customers require the ability to enforce the “Highlight Changes” setting globally so that it is enabled by default for all projects and users without requiring manual activation by each Project Manager.Currently, the toggle is available only at the project instance level under Work Plan → Settings → Highlight Changes. There is no organizational, profile-level, or systemic default that allows administrators to configure this behavior across the entire environment.Business Need / Justification: Ensures consistent behavior across all projects. Reduces missed changes in schedules and improves governance. Eliminates repetitive manual steps for PMs. Supports large organizations where enforcing standard configuration per project is operationally inefficient. Requested Enhancement:

Trying to share OR print the full discussion thread for a discussion within a Decision.The read-only widget to the decision seems to truncate the full Discussion thread and no matter what I try does not expose all replies to the discussion,Printing also seems to be buggy and doesn’t show all replies.Creating a report is limited as well - although is the only way I can at least get the text from all reply posts, it is not formatted in a good way for something such as Audit, for example. The behavior with the read-only link cutting off replies seems like a bug, as does the printing issue. Can anyone confirm or suggest a solution?

our custome would like AdaptiveWork to be able to provide a native system field on the Customer object that automatically counts all Projects related to that Customer.Currently, this capability exists only at the Portfolio level, and organizations must use a custom Relations Summary field if they want this count at the Customer level.The customer has a custom field called “# of Projects”, configured as a Relations Summary counting all associated Projects.This field is intended to support reporting across 150+ Customer records. However: The field has repeatedly displayed ?ERROR, requiring Support to manually recalculate the field.The customer assumed this was a system-provided field and expressed concerns about reliability.They believe counting linked Projects is core platform functionality and should not rely on a custom implementation. Requested Enhancement Create a standard Ada

We’ve submitted this as an idea to Continuous Improvement, but we’re curious if anybody in the community is interested or has received similar feedback from end users. We’re hoping to make it possible to save and share multiple different grouped views.  The column sets enable us to view predefined columns, but it doesn't allow us to include attributes that are used in "Group by".  For example, there are different groupings that enable an RM to properly review and act on their allocations for different purposes. It’s been very frustrating for our RMs and product managers to have to remember the different groupings and manually adjust it every time they want to a different view within the staffing screen.  This example is about the Staffing screen, but it would be great if we can create and share custom views which preselect both columns and attributes used to group by in the other screens as well such as Plan.   

Hi All,Since upgrading the the september 2025 releace we are seeing a global degridation across most of our Job Streams - meaning its not just impacting OData & Intergrantion.My Question: Has anyone else had a similar experienced 

We’re reviewing our process for tracking project financials once a project is no longer active.  From a project manager’s perspective, how are other organizations capturing or reporting financial data (e.g., final costs, accruals, or ongoing expenses) after a project has been closed or set to inactive in Planview?

can we set up timesheet submission reminder notifications to the users like every Thursday EOD? 

Hello Projectplace Community, one inquiry I had is whether Copilot within Projectplace (AI Chatbot) has the same sort of implementation that it does with portfolios in terms of how it manages it’s data processing (i.e sending data back to copilot post-inquiry). We’re quite strict on how our data is managed and when the copilot feature initially came to Portfolios we took it back to our CSM and they notified us that our data does not get stored in a dedicated server, it will feedback into copilot and thus we disabled that functionality. If the feature in Projectplace does the same then we will most likely be unable to make use of the functionality once again. Any and all thoughts are appreciated. 

Is it possible to Map the Blocked Flag in JIRA to the blocked field in Agile Place?? 

Hi, I am new in Project Place and I wonder if someone can explain the following…in the wbs breakdown I can see there are activities created which looks like more a “grouping” activity than the activity itself. I mean, look at the attachment. The activity 3.1 has a left icon similar to the activity 3, while the activity 3.1.1 has a different green icon (like the big majority of all others).Why exactly? If I want to create a new activity, for example, 2.1 under the activity 2, how can I add a new one but not with the green icon, but with the same activity 2 icon like in the picture?

In the Roadmaps tool, any configuration changes I’m making is no longer saving.  Has anyone experienced this?

I’m having an issue where a few projects are experiencing an issue with progression jobs changing their flags at the project level as well as the task level. After progression jobs run on Sunday night the project is changed back to Do Not Progress: Yes, when it was previously set as No. This happens only on a few projects. It also happens to a subset of tasks on these projects, but not all. The task will change back to Do Not Progress: Yes, when it was previously set as No. Has anyone been able to determine what might be causing this change to occur?

As of right now, the only way that I think I’d be able to track skill proficiency levels is by creating a new skill for each level of proficiency. It would be great if Adaptivework had a way to track proficiencies within each skill.Also, being able to sort the capacity planning module by skill would help identify future demand/internal capacity for hiring decision making.

Currently, AdaptiveWork does not provide the ability to include page numbers in PDF extracts. Users exporting reports or documents in PDF format cannot reference specific pages, which affects readability and usability, especially for larger files shared with multiple stakeholders.Proposed Enhancement:Introduce an option to automatically include page numbers when generating PDF extracts. The feature could allow users to configure the page number placement (e.g., header or footer) and formatting style (e.g., “Page X of Y” or simple numbering).Business Justification:    •    Improves document readability and navigation.    •    Enhances professional presentation for exported reports.    •    Facilitates easier reference and discussion of specific pages in printed or shared documents.    •    Aligns with standard document export expectations in enterprise applications. 

When evaluating and prioritizing new product projects, it is typical to analyze profitability.  Such a common metric is calculating Net Present Value (NPV), while extension may be Break-even, IRR, etc.This functionality seems to be missing in the financial planning aspect of AdaptiveWork.  Is it possible to add in such functionality of calculating an NPV for various time periods (e.g., 10-year and 5-year NPVs_?Has anyone built their own profitability report inclusive of the time value of money based on the standard profitability fields that they can share? Thank,Ginger
