I want to present a yes/no question and then have another question show up depending on their selection of yes or no

We had this question as well and were informed when we went through the QuickStart configuration that AdaptiveWork does not support skip logic.

One way you can do this is through Custom Actions. The first Custom Action prompts the user to select Yes or No and then they would click Next. They would then be taken to Custom Action #2 if they selected Yes or Custom Action #3 if they selected No.
