Managing dual languages using login environment language is supported only for standard fields.
Unfortunately this functionality is not available for custom fields.

For international companies that use multiple languages such as French/English, how do you manage this issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi @sbagnol - We raised this same question 18 months ago as we explored onboarding our teams in Canada and needed to understand the options of French/English.

After running through the scenarios with Planview, including specific analysts who had been involved in dual language implementation, the clear steer we got was - don’t do it if it can be avoided.

As I understand it, many companies have shied away from such an implementation unless it’s absolutely critical.  Compromises such as switching browser settings give a ‘minimum to comply’ approach which may be good enough to address regulatory requirements, but a seamless multi-language version just didn’t seem like an option.

We chose not to progress this any further - I suspect there are ways around it by creating parallel configured screens and drive these off user roles, but there will inevitably be other gotchas!

Sorry - probably not the news you wanted!
