Hi

PlanView AdaptiveWork

One of the excel templates for global custom fiscal calendar setup contains start of the month, end of the month and number of days in the month (which are computed in the excel sheet by formula). We did that and then imported the template. But there is hardly any noticeable change.

Which makes me wonder what difference does global custom fiscal calendar make in processing of data?

Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Hello @Amit N

The Global Custom Fiscal Calendar allows AdaptiveWork to use your company's fiscal year instead of standard calendar months.

You'll see the benefit in:
• Reports grouped by your fiscal periods
• Financial planning using your fiscal calendar
• Filters showing your custom fiscal months/quarters

If you don't see changes:

  1. Check that reports are set to "fiscal periods" (not calendar)
  2. Verify the upload completed successfully
  3. Look for fiscal period options in your report filters

Quick test: Create a new report - you should see your custom fiscal periods as grouping options.

If the calendar still isn't reflecting in your views, there may have been an issue with the upload process or configuration that would benefit from technical support review.
