Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well.

We have a widget for a dashboard that gets sent monthly to our users, which is password protected. When a user enters the password incorrectly, an email gets triggered to all accounts with an admin profile. I was wondering a couple of things:

  1. Can I edit the recipients of the message? If so, where?
  2. Is it possible to know who tried to access the widget but couldn’t?

Thank you so much,

Hello Elizabeth,

You would need to confirm with Planview but you are likely stuck as these are “system” notifications. System notifications typically cannot be changed though some like Project Notifications have controls allowing you to turn them off. This one is not documented anywhere but likely falls under failed password too many times so Administrators are notified.

If you are not aware, you can view existing Widgets in Settings » Extensions » Widgets (see below). You can see a few items like name of the Report/Dashboard/View being shared via Widget as well as Password and View Counter information. You also have the ability to revoke Widgets and change password. However, this does not provide you a list of users that accessed or tried to access the widget.
