Hello All,

The financials for our requirements are disappearing when the daily job runs, causing our forecasts to be off.  Is anyone else having issues with the financial forecast associated with requirements. The values for hours and FTEs remain but the financials disappear.

@JWilliams24 - did this ever get fixed for you from when you reported it after upgrading to the June 2025 release? “We have seen the cost part of our requirements just disappear; the FTE data and Hours are there but every morning the cost is gone. We found some work around to get it to populate back.  Plus, our internal team is working on something we think we can use to fix this”

It sounds like the system is unable to cost, based on the selected Rate Set, the requirement effort. This suggests that the attributes used by the Rate Set Lookups are not available. Requirement demand is defined against Organisation-Resources (Org-Res). if your Rate Lookups are more complex/different to the “Res” side of org-res (normally OBS20 Resource Role) then you need to be sure that the LookUp attributes are defined (values) entered for each Org-Res node. This is done on the Org-Res detail screen, where you should display, and maintain, the LookUp attributes for Rates. Attribute is shared from Resource to Org-Res and added to the Org-Res detail configured screen.

@pamela.sargent yes we had it working for awhile and just in the last few weeks we have noticed this issue. We are looking at every requirement in the system. there are some that populate and some that do not. We are also seeing issues with our “refresh Rates” and load financials as well

@mlea We set this up with planview the way they told us.  Our Criteria is very simple.  Vendor, Country. we do not even pull resource type to keep it as simple as possible.    it was working and now it is not. we have not changed anything since working with them in the summer.  It could be setup incorrectly, we did not design the setup so I am only able to speak to how PV told us we needed it done.

HI @JWilliams24 have you tried the attribute based rate diagnostics to see if you can look up the rate values? Also, when you select the line in the project plan and then go to task information and require, can you see the rate values in the appropriate column? If not, there might be something wrong with the setup itself. Can you also confirm what option is used to load the financials: Actual Labour (Time Reported) or
Scheduled Effort, or both are selected?

Best,
Michal

@mlea 01026626 here is the ticket number @mserafinowski We load both. as does the daily job.  Also there are no rates that show up in the plan. We have questioned why we dont see rates there but have gotten no information back .

@JWilliams24, like @mlea mentioned, it looks like there might be something wrong with the rate set. If you already have a case open and aren’t getting any answers, it’s worth escalating it with your Success Manager. I’d also check the attribute base rate diagnostic, make sure the job stream is set up correctly, and review the rates and daily tables logs.

Best,
Michal

@JWilliams24 I can see the case has been escalated and you are getting help now. Based on what I see in the case, it looks like my theory is correct and that you don’t have attributes set on your org-res nodes that will drive the rate look ups based on a Country look up.

Recommend always having an entry of the [All] value in a look up, which will cost blank (missing country) with a default rate.
