Does anyone use a “template” for their project Plan/Schedule? We use a very similar plan for a large number of our projects and it would be nice to have a template that these project plans could be built from and then dates and specifics just filled in. I don’t see a way to do that other than having a “Template” project in the system and having the PM go into that project and copy the Plan and paste it into their project. Is this the most efficient way to accomplish the task?

This is what Dependencies gives you. If you build a project template with milestones and tasks that will be reused regularly, you can set dependencies between tasks such as Start-to-finish (STF), with or without lag time, etc. When one task is complete, the next task is set to finish. Based on these parameters, the dates line up all the way up to the Project start date which is specified when you create the Project.
