Planview AI chatbot Internal for my Organisation

​@PiyushS  what do you mean by a chat agent in this context? Are you thinking about Planview Anvi agents or more of a custom agent connected to the database via MCP? At the moment most of these options are effectively read only unless you go down the SOAP or REST API route. Even then for things like rate card updates, automation scripts are still a much better and safer approach than using AI.

For Power BI refresh you already have job streams in place, so there is no real need to have AI just to trigger or schedule refreshes. The same applies to daily progression runs...

Where it probably makes the most sense is around reminders and announcements like daily or weekly reminders for timesheet completion and approvals. Planview announcements are quite limited and usually only go out once a timesheet is overdue, so there is some value in improving that but doing it at scale is tricky with Anvi because you would need to manage email addresses manually in the agent and it is not very dynamic. The MCP route could help but as far as I know it is still in labs, so not something fully mature yet. Reach out to Erik Peterson, he should have some slots for MCP labs.
