Hi - we have our servers in the UK and have noticed horrible performance using Planview Portfolios. Anyone else suffering?

We’re on the Frankfurt server and have not noticed any issues.

Hello Jennifer and Whit!

Whit, glad you are not noticing any issues. :)

Jennifer, we’ve begun the triage process on this and will update your group through the related Care case. In addition to working on this specifically, we’ve had a number of updates over the last few months, in the upcoming November release, and more in the future. Our recurring monthly Planview Enterprise customer webinar (one happening tomorrow) is the best place to learn about those as they are coming up.

Best regards,

Sherrill

Yes, we are experiencing similar issues with Planview Portfolios! We opened a case that ended up being split into several smaller ones but it seems like the only thing the customer support team is checking are CPU spikes. For a SaaS application, this approach is not sufficient at all. Despite providing numerous pieces of evidence, including links, traces, and HAR files, we have yet to receive a concrete response or a clear outline of the criteria the team uses to determine whether something qualifies as a performance issue.

Additionally, I came across this article that provides tips on minimising performance issue occurrences: https://success.planview.com/Planview_Portfolios/Administration/011_Administration_Business_Processes/Considerations_for_Usage_and_Performance
It might be helpful!

Hi @mserafinowski , happy to meet to discuss and look into your issues if you would like to do so, please email me at spackebush@planview.com. Thank you very much for posting the link to that Customer Success Center article on performance tips, as configuration, display options, and other factors all contribute to why a view loads at a certain speed. As we are making performance improvements and learning we also are updating that page (for example, I have a note to include info on how integrations may impact performance that we need to add to it). Cheers, Sherrill
