@Kirsten C
The issue could be related to the configuration settings within Planview. One possibility is that the expected hours per day setting for column progress indicators might be set to 10 hours instead of the standard 8 hours. This setting does not affect time calculations but is used for progress indicators, which could be influencing the warning you are seeing.
Additionally, it might be worth checking if there are any discrepancies in the default settings for Standard Time and Overtime, which could affect the expected hours calculation.
Lastly, reviewing the calendar rule setup might be helpful. If there are rules applied that result in a different daily capacity than expected, it could lead to discrepancies in expected hours.
If it does not resolve, please create a case to connect with the CC team.

Thank you for your response. How would I check the following:
- expected hours per day setting for column progress indicators might be set to 10 hours
- default settings for Standard Time and Overtime
I did check the calendar rule set up and that is in order for an 8-hour work day.
@Kirsten C
To check the default settings for Standard Time and Overtime, you should review the Payroll Structure in your configuration:
-
Navigate to the Payroll Structure.
-
Click on "Standard Time" or "Overtime" to define or review the respective payroll types.
-
After selecting the payroll item, click “Detail” to view or modify its settings.
