Technical Complexity Scoring Model In Portfolios

We currently use a risk assessment scoring model to determine Project Type and overall risk. While helpful, it does not fully capture project complexity, which we need to better determine the appropriate PM role (Business vs. IT, level of experience, etc.). Technical complexity is one example.

We are not looking to change our risk model, instead are exploring other ways within Planview Portfolios to capture and evaluate project complexity.

Question: Is anyone using lifecycle workflows, review gates, or role-based reviews in Portfolios to assess different dimensions of project complexity? Are there specific data elements that trigger additional reviews or notifications?

@LeannaM this would be a great AI use case for Planview Anvi. Anvi Prompt to review all aspects of the project and to carry out a risk assessment, and provide a formatted risk analysis, assessing against your risk dimensions.

@mlea Thank you for your reply, and I agree this would be a good AI use case once there is something in place to capture/review additional data around the project complexity and then pair with the risk assessment scoring.

In this discovery phase my curiosity is around how might we capture data (designated screen, scripted dialogs triggering other data input etc) and incorporate into a lifecycle/role-based workflow. Before reinventing the wheel so to speak, I was curious what others may be doing as it relates to existing Planview capabilities.
