If I was to publish a status report / dashboard to sponsor, who is not an actual user within PPM Pro, can they get to it if I was to send them a link?  Today, we send a PPT presentation but would like to get away from it.  Along the same lines, if I have a external contractor, if I was to send them a link, can get see the dashboard / status report, if I was to send them a link to a dashboard within PPM Pro.

Based on the documentation in Published Dashboard Authentication and IP Restrictions if you publish the dashboard with “Do not require any authentication” selected, anyone with the link can see the published dashboard.  To test, do a one-time publication with this option selected and paste the resulting URL into the address bar of a private browser window.  I consider risky as anyone with that URL can view the published dashboard.

If you select Require the user to enter an access code, it gives you a bit more security.  Provide the URL, and the Dashboard specific security code.  Again, you can test this in a private browser window.

You’ll need to work with Planview Support to get details about the IP Restrictions.  I only know what’s in the link above.

Hope this helps.
