Curious to know if there are users out there that have frequent VM memory issues with EA, which requires a request to restart the services?  If so, how often do you have to request a service restart and do you know the cause of the memory issue?

From my support perspective the frequency of restarts due to memory issues tends to be very low with EA. There have been some specific issues in the past that temporarily increased the restart frequency while our team actively worked on implementing long-term resolutions.

I expect you are posting regarding to a current memory symptom originating form exporting large grids.  Other customers have experienced this. Our current suggestion to mitigate this issue is limiting grid exports to 20 related columns or fewer and allowing each export to complete fully before initiating additional exports. We suggest this approach to minimize the need for a service restart until a permanent fix is in place.
