Hello, good afternoon.

We were unable to identify the reason why the [Daily Trend Snapshot] application does not generate the information for all projects.

What depends on whether some projects generate information and others do not?

Hey Jhon,

The Daily Trend Snapshot is populated via a Scheduled Workflow Rule (SWFR) that runs every night. Out of the box, it has three evaluation criteria to make sure it’s running efficiently and only processing on a subset of all your projects:

  1. Projects to be included must be in Active state.
  2. Projects must not have the Portfolio toggle enabled.
  3. Projects must have some expected progress; that field cannot have a value of 0.

Any projects that don’t meet all three of those criteria will be skipped. If you have confirmed that it’s skipping a project that DOES meet all three of those criteria, there are three other possible reasons:

  1. Someone with admin rights has altered or added the evaluation criteria for the Daily Snapshot rule.
  2. The projects have not been edited/updated in over six weeks. (SWFRs ignore records that haven’t been updated in six weeks.)
  3. Your AdaptiveWork instance has over 10,000 projects that meet all three criteria. (This is the least likely reason for the issue: If there are over 10,000 records that meet a SWFR’s criteria, the rule should pause upon processing the 10,000th record and then pick up where it left off the following hour.)

I hope this helped,

Drew
