My favorite is simply daily “focus”. Swarming as a team on the highest priority item. I think it is because I find a lot of joy in working together to solve challenges on a high performing team. There is clarity on what is important, a shared objective. It is much more fulfilling to me then starting a lot of work and feeling frantic, not being able to complete it, seeing the work age gives me some stress.

Do you have a favorite improvement practice, whether daily, each sprint, ad-hoc, quarterly or otherwise? I would love to hear!

A common practice I hear from is daily focus and team swarming on the top priority item. It helps reduce context switching and creates a more energized, high-performing environment. One customer told me, "It just feels better to finish what matters most instead of juggling too much."

Another popular practice is a quick weekly Flow Metrics review—looking at Flow Load, Time, and Distribution in Viz. Teams use it to spot overload, rebalance priorities, and reduce unplanned work. It's a simple but powerful way to stay aligned and deliver more consistently.

Happy to chime in!
