When a task is copied over and pasted in a WBS, the paste option window opens up and there are several fields that are already preselected. We would like to have these fields to come deselected so that users can pause long enough to assess what it is they are copying over. Has anybody received feedback from users like this?  We think it would be helpful if they could change the default settings so that the checkboxes are deselected by default, but we’d be interested in other users’ thoughts.  

This has been something I have wanted for awhile.  This has caused me some issues with some users in the past.

​@Rie.Y - this would be a good enhancement request but in the interim you may ask Planview if they can make a modification in your instance to not have these preselected.  I tried looking at what table this information is stored in to help point in a direction but was unable to do so, however PV may be able to change a flag or setting that changes the behavior.

​@pamela.sargent Thank you for your response and my sincere apologies for the delay in my response.  We had submitted a case to the customer support before posting here, and the response we received was that there is no configurable setting or documented way to change this behavior, and they suggest we submit this as an enhancement idea so that’s what we did ttps://planviewideas.spigit.com/portfolios2025q4/Page/ViewIdea?ideaid=632
