Having recently adopted IdeaPlace elsewhere in our organisation as a standalone tool for crowd sourcing and relatively small campaigns, we’d love to extend this into our Portfolios solution to act as the gateway into our change delivery portfolio, but that would require the ability to create new ‘strategies’ from IdeaPlace integration, rather than new work.  Is there any demand for this elsewhere, or maybe on the roadmap for the IdeaPlace Next Gen?

Interesting idea! I’m wondering if you need strategic entities or if you could use projects and just give them useful names that indicate they are a different kind of thing from your normal projects? Like use Project Type, and then connect the projects with each other? (Until your idea is developed or enabled by Planview).

Thanks @sunasak - I’m afraid that doesn’t work for us.  We’ve spent quite some time working through the slickest processes for our communities and rebuilt our lifecycles so that work entities/projects are triggered just to deliver the change whilst the business case, governance, benefits, justification and prioritisation happen before this at the Strategy level.  Once the strategy is justified and priority agree, then multiple projects can be spun up to deliver this.  Another reason is to keep our Senior Sponsors out of Portfolios - they really need an easy front door to pitch their ideas for strategies.  IdeaPlace could be ideal for this with the right integration!
