I'm excited to share the latest release in NextGen IdeaPlace (Labs 2.0). This update introduces key enhancements around governance, workflow flexibility, and evaluation quality — enabling faster, more structured innovation at scale.

What's New:

  • Branching (Parallel Review Phases) — Dynamic routing of ideas into parallel evaluation paths based on engagement signals, accelerating high-potential ideas while maintaining structured review for others.
  • Advanced Roles & Permissions — More granular, event-level access control to strengthen governance, improve clarity of responsibilities, and reduce operational friction.
  • Custom Role Creation — Event Admins can now define tailored roles aligned with specific workflows, increasing flexibility and scalability across event types.
  • Expert-Driven Evaluation — Assign expert groups during review phases to enhance decision quality and ensure more consistent, domain-informed evaluations.
  • Categories — Improved idea organization and management within events for better participation, discoverability, and overall experience.
  • Category-Level Ownership — Assign roles at the category level for more targeted access, accountability, and clearer ownership across focus areas.
