We are pleased to announce the introduction of AdaptiveWork Swimlane support for Hybrid Card View, designed to enhance your project management experience.

This functionality offers enhanced flexibility and organization of work items, designed to improve collaboration and expedite decision-making during team meetings.

The Swimlane feature introduces an effective method for visually organizing Hybrid Card views. Users can now categorize and group project sub-projects, tasks, and milestones based on specific criteria such as Managers, Job Titles, Teams, or Resources.

This enhancement increases the flexibility and usability of the Card view layout, simplifying the management and tracking of workflows.

Key benefits for organizations and teams include:

Enhanced Visualization: Swimlanes provide a powerful tool for comprehending the work associated with various teams. For instance, project managers can distinguish tasks by user groups, offering a clearer visualization of assignments.

Improved Workflow: By offering a comprehensive overview of the workload per work item type, Swimlanes bring clarity to capacity needs. For example, different Resources assigned to each Task can be separated using Swimlanes, facilitating better workload management.

Project Progress Clarity: Combining resource Swimlanes with status columns provides teams with a clear, at-a-glance insight into the current state of project progress, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

For further information on the Swimlane feature, please refer to the below detailed CSC articles.

We believe this new feature will significantly enhance your project management processes and look forward to your feedback.

Is this functionality live? I see the option for it on the board layout, however, when I try to use it I just get the message: “Error. Something went wrong” no matter what field I try to use.

Anyone on Planview side able to provide some input on this? I am still receiving same error.

Hello Patrick,

Thank you for being patient with us!

The feature was a part of the last release that was deployed on May 19, 2024 and we haven't come across any issues with the functionality. I tested the same out in my environment and it's working fine.

You will have to raise this with our support team for investigation which I have completed on your behalf and this is your case number - 00790820

Good day!
