We are excited to announce a significant enhancement in our Portfolios product: OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for work items are now generally available! This new feature empowers customers to create OKRs directly from work items, providing a robust framework for measuring the benefit realization of projects.

What This Means for You

With the introduction of OKRs for work items, customers can now seamlessly integrate objective setting and tracking into their project management processes. This feature includes all the powerful functionalities of OKRs currently present under Strategy Portfolios] and Board AgilePlace], along with additional capabilities such as connected OKRs and custom attributes. 1. Define and Track Objectives

Customers can now set clear objectives for individual work items, ensuring that every task contributes to the overall project goals. This not only provides a structured approach to project management but also helps in aligning day-to-day work with broader business objectives.

By creating OKRs directly from work items, teams can better measure the impact and benefit realization of their projects. This helps in understanding how specific tasks and initiatives contribute to overall business success.

Upgrade Requirement

Important: To access OKRs under Work, Portfolios users need to upgrade to the June 2024 release. This upgrade is essential to unlock the full potential of the new OKR functionalities.

While we encourage all Portfolios customers to fully leverage strategic frameworks for assessing and funding their investments, we recognize that not all customers are at that level of maturity. However, the need to set clear objectives for ongoing work remains crucial. This is where the new Portfolios Work OKRs come into play.

By enabling customers to define and track objectives for their work, we provide a powerful tool for framing the outcomes of their projects. As customers evolve and start focusing on strategic programs and initiatives, they can define strategic OKRs to align value across their organization, whether through traditional or agile work processes.
