Hello

We are making headway with our Power Bi Work Dashboard however, I’d like to understand what this would look like for each license type (i.e. Executive vs Portfolio Lead)? What would we be able to leverage for each role type?

@AutumnC

I assume you are referring to the Work Portfolio Dashboard template:
https://success.planview.com/Planview_Portfolios/Analytics_and_Reporting/Power_BI/020_Power_BI_Dashboards

The dashboard will look the same in terms of the pages/widgets displayed for all user roles (personas). The only difference will be in the data that it shows, which will be based on the Permissions/Grants that the user has.

It is possible to adapt this dashboard, or create new PowerBI dashboards that would provide different persona based content. The Global Report Services team in Professional Services could assist you in ideas and in the actual development of persona specific dashboards.

This is what I was trying to confirm. If it is based upon existing permissions/grants or is there a way around that without additional licenses. Thank you~~

@AutumnC

If a PowerBI report is hosted on the Planview service (you have loaded it into Reporting Content Management) then you need to be a Portfolios user to access the report through a tile. Any Portfolios user (any licence type) with grants/permissions to projects will see data in it.

If you want to share with people in your organisation who are not users of Portfolios then you need PowerBI.com licences and publish the report to the Microsoft Service and share it from there.
