Currency Calculation

I have a pretty simple issue to resolve, I think.I’m creating a custom action where i want to update $PlannedAmount with the following calculation:  $BudgetedHours * 40The error I’m getting is “Error: Formula evaluation result data type is Duration instead of expected Currency”I’ve tried a few different options but am missing the correct way to put together this request.Thanks all

Analyze Tile does not do anything up on Finish

Hi All,Have anyone faced this issue? In one of the customer instance, the analyze tile does not do anything. I am an Admin and have use reporting/analytics permissions etc. I even tried with out any filters/formatting. Once I click Finish nothing happens. ThanksSakthi,.

Automatic license removal for disabled accounts

I want to check if we can remove the license from Planview AdaptiveWork when an account is disabled. We are using Azure AD as an IDP. Though we remove the member from SSO group, license assignment is still in place within AdaptiveWork. So, how to remove the license when an account is disabled in AD and removed from SSO group?

AW - Reporting on Parent vs. Subprojects

Hi community - I’m having an issue with pulling a report that shows a list of all our portfolio projects, however the report is pulling both parent and sub projects, ultimately double counting. Does anyone have any tips on how to only show:projects with no sub projects + sub projects of projects with parentsFor example, project “a” has sub projects “b” and “c”. Our reporting is pulling through metrics from project “a”, “b”, and “c” which is double counting, inflating our metrics. Any tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

July Release Work Details Screen Not accessible

Anyone else having issues after the July Release?  Our user base cannot view the entire Work Details screen. Our screen is configured to use Smart logic - Sections of the screen are visible based on work classification type. Our end users are not able to see sections based on work classifications, only the top section which is open to all. Strangely, admins cannot see this issue, which makes it difficult to troubleshoot.

Reporting - Resource Assignment at the Project Level within Excel Add-In

I am able to make a report listing project assignment by resource within AdaptiveWork reporting by pulling in the Project and Resources module. Within the Excel Add-in I am having trouble locating the Resources module and. Does anyone know where it is located within the Excel Add-in?

Updating Lifecycle roles using REST API

Hello,Do you know if it is possible to update the username for lifecycle roles using the REST API?I am able to update the lifecycle administrator with the following JSON:{"lifecycleAdminUser": {              "userName": "jsmith",        "isPrimary": true      }} However, I encounter issues when attempting to update other lifecycle roles. How to make the system dynamically pick up working days in a month instead of a fixed value

To get the accurate conversion of resource efforts from hours to fte for a given month, the formula is: FTE  = efforts in hours/ (7 hours per day X number of working days in a month) (Example:  if a person has worked 120 hours in July 2025, that has 23 working days then the fte = 120/7 X 23) = 120/161 = .75fte) Our Calendar in Global settings mentions number of days in a month as 20. This field is mandatory.As a result of this, efforts when viewed in project assignment, staff request pages and capacity planning application in fte do not display accurate results.How to get the system to dynamically pick up the actual number of working days in a month (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) and not a fixed value.Thanks in advance.

Enhancement request: enable users to change the Prices and Rates window layout

I was advised via Planview case #00913891 to raise this enhancement request as it is currently a limitation that users can not change the Prices and Rates window layout. As shown in the screenshot, we want to keep only Billing Rates Regular Hour in this window and remove everything else as we don’t use them.I was told that it is not currently supported to change this layout through the profile section out of the box or via CSS.

Progression & Removing Projects from Timesheets

We are finding that when a person is allocated to a project, and that allocation completes the system (progression) is not always removing that project from the resources timesheet.  Is there some specific logic that progression uses that creates an exception to removing the proeject from “Select Work”?Unfortunately, we have found that in these cases - the resource allocation appears the person should not be time writing to the preject, but the system continue to allow the time writing.  Note this will show as negative on the person’s timesheet, but does not prevent time writing.Thanks,Joe

How do you expect Remaining Planned to work?

The data point of Remaining Planned, on the timesheet, has been a big topic here at NASCO this year. There was an issue with it that was introduced in the December release and since then a few fixes with one or two modifications. I’m curious how other Planview customers expect this data point to work as I’d like to get additional perspectives to help broaden our thought process. I know we can get used to the way things used to work, but I still want to ensure it is something our end users can easily understand.My expectations would be:Remaining Planned in timesheets that are integrated should not change and should reflect what the remaining effort looked like at the time the timesheet was submitted. This helps with researching also. Today this data point changes and always matches what is on the current active timesheet. Remaining Planned would reflect the total overage ((total actual + un-progressed time) - approved effort) thus if over the last 3 weeks the resource continues to trac

Working days vs Calendar days on Lag Duration Import (DependencyLinks)

I am importing a project WBS and I am building a data loader import to capture the predecessor information for each workitem as a DependencyLinks import. In the source data, some of the Lag durations are in workdays (d) and some are in calendar days (ed). ed basically includes weekends, holidays, etc.  Is there a way to indicate the difference between these two duration types for my import?

Planned Hours Remaining and Revised Estimate

Now that the Planned Hours Remaining field has been fixed, we turned it back on and noticed that there was an alert when a user has negative hours. This alert instructs users to enter a new estimate in the Revised Estimate column but we don’t have that column turned on as it does not alert the project manager who is usually not the resource manager that they need more hours.  How could we do one of the following?Update that message to instruct them to reach out to the project manager Turn off the alert when we don’t use the Revised Hours column Add Revised Estimates field as a reportable field either in an existing or new report or in a tile

Round Time Up or Down

Hello everyone,I would like to be able to round up or down time that users submit.  For example, if the time is <= 12:07 it will round down to 12 but if it is >12:00 it will round up to 12:15.Can anyone assist with this please?Thanks
