Hi Planview Community! As mentioned before, we are trying to work with the Objectives, Target and Contributions module in AW. It’s proving to be a bit tricky! So, I wanted to ask if any of you use it, and if so, do you report from it? How?  We tried creating some reports, but failed magnifincelty. We looked for the data model, but it doesn’t seem to include them. Does anyone know if there is an updated version of the data model that includes them?Thanks a lot!

I’ve been searching for better understanding of allocation schedule finish dates that pass, and time can still be reported. When a resource allocation schedule clears out in the Plan screen, resources can still report time, even if the schedule no longer exists.  After finish date passes, and progression runs the schedule line clears out. The task remains on the resource’s timesheet, and hours can still be reported. It is unclear to me why time can be reported to a project without an existing allocation.I’m told this is by design, if time has already been reported for a project, the user can continue to report time for it even if schedule no longer exists.My questions are do others experience this, and if so, are you simply communicating to the PMs to open the plan screen to monitor allocation schedules that are now blank? Or monitor using the Schedule v Actual report? Is there a configuration setting I am missing?

Hello all,Is there any way to locking editing/deleting under ‘Admin’ tab in PPM Pro? if not is there any way to track these changes? Audit log for example.Or if there is a workaround to have the above.

In the Task List view, there does not appear to be any way to mark all tasks that have overallocated resources. For e.g. MS Project puts a red resource icon in the Info column making it easy for the PM to go to such tasks at a glance. The only way in PPM Pro seems to be to click into each task and check.If not, is there a way to achieve this with a calculated field? 

Last month we had to update everyone’s email address in Planview. This was easy for us to do as we just had to export all of our users in Planview Admin to a csv, update the email address and import it back. We were able to keep our old email addresses in Portfolios and in Agileplace as we were able to use the map to function in Planview admin. After the December update in portfolios, the Planview Admin and Portfolios email addresses have to match in order to authenticate. 

I want to send email to assigned resources if task is yet Active and due date is in 2 days from today.I tried to create a scheduled workflow rule but it did not trigger email.can anyone share the sample condition and on which object it should be created?

I want to present a yes/no question and then have another question show up depending on their selection of yes or no

Hello!Desperate need of help. I created an org calendar based upon our 2025 financial budget to account for planned PTO as we are not utilizing actual PTO/timesheets. It ruined all of our projects that had previous resource allocations, and changed everything… I’m talking 500+ projects and thousands of resources. Is there a way to undo what I did, or restore the allocations? 

Hello community,We hope everyone is doing well.We have a concern regarding a situation that arises when importing schedules from MS Project to Adaptive Work.In PV Portfolios, it is possible to import a project schedule from MS Project while specifying how it should be imported. This allows us to avoid relationships between predecessor and successor activities, restrictions, flags, and resource assignments.We would like to know if there is a similar functionality in Adaptive Work to prevent dates from appearing as “user-defined” when importing from MS Project. We require this because having date restrictions prevents the system from automatically calculating durations and dates. Consequently, we need to manually remove each restriction to enable proper planning.¿How do you usually handle this issue with the restrictions in Adaptive Work? Best regards,Oscar Suarez

Hi there!We have been creating reports and dashboards, and noticed that for some graphs, you can hover over the Project name and get a Summary card displayed. We like that, as it provides complementary information to the data on display. However, the summary card layout is the same anywhere you are looking at it.For example: we are now focused on financial dashboards, so it’s valuable to add to the summary card information related to the Project Budget, Actual Cost, Forecast. However, if we are looking at a demand dashboard, such information wouldn’t be that valuable. Is there a way to create a dynamic layout for summary cards? Maybe add a rule to make it contextual? Thanks! Maca

Does anyone have any experience with creating a report in AdaptiveWork to roll up Action Items that are nested and attached to children work items. For example we have a program and are trying to create a report to aggregate any action item that is attached to any Project, Milestone or task nested under the program. We would also like to do the same type of report for Risks, Issues and Decisions as well eventually.

I have a custom object named SKU. At project level different team members will be adding values to relevant columns to this object at each milestone. Then they will mark task as complete and next milestone will be created.in this SKU how to add reference project name?workflow to be defined at project level or On SKU object directly?My project name should automatically be populated in SKU object when new row is created on SKU. 

Hi all,I’m hoping to get some assistance with data loader. I’m trying to add members to existing groups and using update to add the members. However, it keeps saying that the field Member is not updateable using the item type: GroupMembershipLink. Can someone advice which item type I should use if this is not the correct one. There is more than one member per group separated by commas.Thank you :) Jess  

Hi All, I have received below query from one of my super user ,any help will be greatly appreciated :“Some of the PMs have put constrained start and end dates on task that I've asked them to remove so activities are properly scheduled.  To remove the constraint, they need to use 'Restore'.  Can they do a 'restore' for multiple tasks or do they have to do that for the start and end dates individually?”

I need to create custom action to delete current milestone and set the previous milestone as current one. Has anyone tried and can help?i do not want to use the inbuilt delete button in ribbon. In that profile we do not give delete option in ribbon.

The Roadmap feature for Project or Portfolio work plans as a ton of potential, but is hard to get value from in current state. Here are a few quick hitting ideas that could make this feature a lot more valuable to organizations like ours:Because there can be overlap in Milestone timelines, spacing out the Milestone bars into separate ‘collapsible/expandable rows’ would make it much easier to read (similar to a Gantt view from the milestone level, but on the roadmap). Ability to add Key Dates (i.e. an important task/milestone dates) as a callout to a specific project. Currently the Key Dates feature adds it generically to the roadmap and its manually created. This especially becomes unclear which project a date belongs to on a Portfolio roadmap. It would also be nice to just select a work item/date from the work plan. Ability to add roadmaps to a dashboard.

Hi all,Wondering if anyone knows a method of removing the email panel from a view.It appears that It is possible to move the panel around but not take it completely out.Cheers,Sean  

Hello,Is there a way to make a more seamless transition between the ‘Classic’ view & ‘Hybrid’ view without relying on the blue banner to make the switch? Currently our users spend most of their time in the ‘Classic’ view, but need to switch to ‘Hybrid’ view from time to time to use the Board and now Whiteboard. Ideally we would like to make a custom panel with some buttons in Classic view to navigate them to the correct sections of the ‘Hybrid’ view to make it more seamless + when we share a Board, they are often in the ‘Classic’ view and forget to switch to the ‘Hybrid’ view resulting in additional support reminding them to use the blue banner to switch over.Just wondering if anyone has had any luck to maybe setup a more seamless transition between ‘Classic’ & ‘Hybrid’ without fully relying on the blue banner to make the transition. Many Thanks,Sean 

I have multiple activities assigned to me and I've created multiple cards per activity to break down the tasks required to complete the activity. How can I assign a priority to each activity and to each card to ensure I'm always working on the highest priority tasks at any given time? Example: - Activity: Proof-of-Concept Server Build (Priority: LOW)    + Card: Gather specs for server (Pri: 1)    + Card: Deploy PoC Server, IP Address, Hostname, Domain Join (Pri: 2)    + Card: Configure User/Group access, Network/FW rules (Pri: 3)    + Card: Install software, tools, copy files/folders (Pri: 3)- Activity: Disaster Recovery Exercise (Priority: MED)    + Card: Determine apps in scope, timeframe, assets required, budget, testing needed (Pri: 1)    + Card: Assign team contacts, tasks for each team, deadlines & milestones (Pri: 2)    + Card: Build exercise platform, server/network deployments, backup/replication jobs (Pri: 3)
