We are trying out managing project details in portfolio and project place.  One issue the PMs run into is that the dates seem to randomly change.  Is there a document that shows how dates are affected in the workplan.  Or the best settings to not have items affect others.  I know this may not be best practice but we need the team to understand why their plans change. 

Currently when we create a project the Progression Options for Allocations is set to “Respect Finish Dates”.  Based on the needs of our organization we have been setting this to “Expire Effort and Respect Finish Dates”.  Is there any way to make Expire Effort the “default” setting for when we create new work items?  Or do we have to remember to change it as part of our new project process? 

At Moffitt we are trying to find out how other organization are tracking their time for Pre-project planning. We want to create a standard process for this type of work.

Hi Team, is it possible to create workflow/custom action when a personal timeoff is added in Clarizen by a user, the manager gets a notification?

Hello everyone 👋 We are setting up our instance of AdaptiveWork and can see some great functionality with individual calendars using the exception types to put in their leave etc. However, although we have been able to add our own categories, we have not been able to work out how to delete the other items in the pick list. We are finding that the categories are adding confusion that are already in e.g. PTO and vacation for us would be the same definition.  We have changed our categories to have numbers at the beginning so that they go to the top but is there a way to delete the other options?

What’s the best approach, if any, to set an effective date for a new capacity so that future tasks reflect the updated capacity, while past assignments and capacity remain unchanged? We pull capacity reports and are transitioning a full-time employee to part-time. When we update the capacity in the and dates in their calendar, it ends up affecting the capacity for past dates as well.

Dear Community,We are having issues with Job Stream teking x25 longer than usual and timing out due to the following errors log in the log files.“Skipping Financial Plan. Reason = Error for field AltStructureKey: Execution Timeout Expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. { Source Row='0';  }” Has anyone had this issue and know how to resolve? Kind regards

when configuring a new screen and selecting Add Component, the internal reference link an basic info are greyed out, why is this and what can I do to use them? 

I need to distinguish in my projects different non-labor expenses categories. This distinction shall be done per location. Example : “non-labor resources A” for location A, and “non-labor resources A” for location B.One of the solution would be to differentiate in the non-labor resources list them (ie “non-labor resources A location A” and a second one “non-labor resources A location B”). Doing so, the list of choices proposed to the project manager will explode (in my case more than 60), which will not be that easy for the userIve seen in the last AW documentation (see below) that there is an example with “vendor” column, whcih can be edited. Does it mean that i can have (to stay in the example below) multiple times “Telephone” with different vendor? Or there is still the limitation that the non labor resources can be used only once ?Any idea how i can solve my issue?

When adding a staff member to task that spans the end of month - and the historic month is fiscally closed - it still seems to add the allocation - changing the past, supposedly locked, financial forecast. Have I got how allocation works incorrect? Any tips?

Hi All!I am brand new to AdaptiveWork / Clarizen and trying to grasp how something like this would be built, and/or how easy it would be.Use Case:  We have about 20 fields with associated score values, and we wish to use the score values in a formula to calculate another field.Approach:  Rather than hardcoding the score values within a formula, I created a Custom Object with the possible field values and the associated scores. This seems easier to maintain than a ton of code. Also, I’m trying to learn how the product works so it’s also just for my curiousity.Question:  How hard is it to create Business Rule that looks at a field value, and then does a lookup to a record in a Custom Object and retrieve the Score value? I was able to get as far as retrieving a value from the Custom Object by using the GetObjectByID function, but only when I hardcoded in the ID.  I am looking to do a join on the Name field rather than ID between my reque

New to AdaptiveWork here and don’t know if we are missing something.How do we @mention all Project members (including Resources with Team Member license) in a discussion post started on the Project and from a discussion post started on any Task in the Project.We DO NOT want to create a discussion group for every single project.We have some ideas for custom actions or workflow rules but want to make sure we aren’t missing an easier option before creating workarounds.Any help would be greatly appreciated, we are going live in the next week and this is something that is required.Thank you so much!
