HelloWe have a number of very old resource load reports (created between 2015 and 2017) that we cannot edit except to add columns to it. I cannot edit as an Admin but was able to update the Owner to me but even that doesn’t allow me to edit the report. Is there a setting that I’m missing somewhere that needs to be enabled? Thank you :) 

I was looking to suggest an idea for ProjectPlace and discovered there isn’t an IdeaPlace campaign for that tool. It’s too bad. There was just a great suggestion someone inadvertently posted in the wrong place that would have been a great topic to add. Hope maybe you can add ProjectPlace to the list, since it’s one of the most established Planview tools.

Having recently adopted IdeaPlace elsewhere in our organisation as a standalone tool for crowd sourcing and relatively small campaigns, we’d love to extend this into our Portfolios solution to act as the gateway into our change delivery portfolio, but that would require the ability to create new ‘strategies’ from IdeaPlace integration, rather than new work.  Is there any demand for this elsewhere, or maybe on the roadmap for the IdeaPlace Next Gen? 

I can only find 6 Dashboard templates - 1 is called the Executive Dashboard.  Where can I find the other Dashboard templates in the Planview Adaptive works tool? Thank you!Sharyn

HI,  we are using Portfolios without Timekeeping and with spotty Resource management usage.  Our PMs are struggling with the Progressing Engine (and Scheduling Engine) moving task dates.   We are considering if we should turn off the Progressing Engine because we are not sure the value for us.   Has anyone turned it off or is considering doing so?

Hi - Is there a defined Planview.ME roadmap to see what widgets are being made available to Planview.Me and when? A lot of stakeholders were expecting a bit more to be released after some of the demos/news about Planview.Me.  I also question if it’s worth it to introduce Planview.me to our stakeholders without knowing if we’ll be getting new widgets, what those widgets will be, and when they are planned to be delivered. Any information on this would be very helpful, Thanks!

Hello Planview Community,I’ve got 8 hour work days set for a certain user group however when I add a full day’s Leave time in their calendar, it shows them OOO for 7.5 hours. I assume this is due to the global setting we have for all other users that work a 7.5 hour workday. Every time I try to edit the 8hr day resources’ leave to 8 hours instead of 7.5 hours. Is there a setting somewhere I can fix this? Thanks!  

We’re keen to understand whether anyone else has experienced the same issues we have with financial tracking and how these have been overcome (within Planview or through other solutions) - please share your experiences below!We’ve been running Portfolios for 18 months now and one of the greatest omissions from our config and subsequently one of the biggest areas of feedback and pain points for our PM community was a solution to manage transactional level financial planning and tracking within Planview, forcing the active ‘source of truth’ back on to spreadsheets and creating duplication, rather than simplification.  Let me explain! In Portfolios, our Finance Details screen has been set up to reflect our corporate financial accounting structure.  This is great - each month we can upload the actuals directly from the General Ledger and into Planview with no manipulation and can reconcile transactional level costs back to (overly complex) GL reports as required. Hello Everybody,I understand that:If there is a Cost Rate, calculate the costsIf Billing Rate this calculates the income.Then, when a resource reports hours:The costs of those hours are calculated with the Cost rate. This is OKHowever, the income is not calculated with the Billing rate. I found no Configuration Options to make this happen.

Hello,I am trying to develop and role out a Kanban board that our engineering teams can use to claim and track work items across various projects. There are a laundry list of improvements I could offer up, but I have mostly found work arounds / custom solutions for majority of those…One main feature of Kanban boards that I cannot figure out how to get it to work for our use case, is the ability for Team Members to ‘claim’ a task that they did not create. Across various projects, there could be tasks added to the board from various folks that the engineering team will be picking and choosing tasks to work on. I am running into issues with them grabbing a task from the board and being able to edit any of the content or status of the task. It is not ideal for the “Owner” to have to go and switch Owners or assign each resource every time a new task needs to be worked. Is there really no way with the current permission capabilities I can enable Team Members to grab these tasks and auto assi

I had a excel sheet with multiple tabs. Now i want to add similar data in planview on run time without using data loader or without uploading file. E.g sku name, description, units, cost. Which component can best handle such dataset? I want this data to be available in all milestones. Can anyone share configuration?

Is it possible to copy value from previous milestone’s floating task to the current milestone’s floating tasks and then fill extra column data

I want to create a custom object with 50 fields and link it to project and milestone.But I want to display 10 fields in each milestone which are relevant for the owner to fill.then in next milestone i want same number of rows as previous milestone but add specific columns to it.
