When a task is copied over and pasted in a WBS, the paste option window opens up and there are several fields that are already preselected. We would like to have these fields to come deselected so that users can pause long enough to assess what it is they are copying over. Has anybody received feedback from users like this?  We think it would be helpful if they could change the default settings so that the checkboxes are deselected by default, but we’d be interested in other users’ thoughts.  

Hi,PlanView AdaptiveWork - Creating reportI need to create a report that lists for a particular project:-all project assignments by month-all staffing requests (this includes named requests as well as those unnamed request by job titles) by monthI am able to create the project assignment project by month by using the objects - User Resources→ Capacity Time Phased Data (monthly)→ Labour Time Phased Data (monthly) but then clueless on how to get staffing requests including in this.Looking for any advice on which objects to choose to create such a report or link to any tutorials on reporting.Thanks 

In a Project Place Template, updates were made and I need to remove activities that were once associated with the board.  It is very clear how to add the plan activities, but I was not able to find a reference to remove a plan activity.  I want to remove the “gray” activities.  Any direction is very much appreciated.  Joe. 

We utilize requirements for future year forecasting and budgets.  We attach specific resource types to requirements.  I cannot find any “out of the box” reports that pull the Requirements Criteria in.  Does anyone know of any reports that can pull this information?  Thank You,

Hi, I’ve got a configuration which adds a Project Start-up and a Project Closure Milestone (created from templates) to a project. Is there any way to force the Project Start-up milestone to appear at the start of the project in workplan view? The default seems to be to add to the end which happens to work for the Project Closure milestone.More generally, can I specify in a workflow that a particular new work item should be before or after an existing item? Effectively I want to manually set the Sequence Order in the Hierarchy link for the new task, but I don’t think I can do that.Thanks

Hello!We are facing some challenges with the duration of some tasks. We are working with Fixed duration tasks and the duration is changing without intervention from the project manager or team member. Has anyone experience this? How can we figure out what’s causing this change / solve it?Thanks 

Planview AdaptiveWorkHi,It would be a good user experience if both the project assignment and staffing request were on the same page. I found an article online to make that happen Requesting Resources (Staffing Requests) – Clarizen Success, but this doesn’t work. Anyone was able to get both of them on the same page/ view.ThanksRegards

Our resources are located all over the world and as a Project / Program Manager we need to be able to see in Portfolios when the resource and project calendars misalign.  We are looking to create an alert or flag to notify them when there is such a discrepancy that requires their intervention.   When searching CSC, I have not been able to locate articles or suggestions on how we can supply them with that without using “AdaptiveWork” which is not in the budget. 

Many of my colleagues speak Italian as prior primary language and struggle with English. Would it be possible to add Italian language to AdaptiveWork?

Hello Community, I am trying to build a workflow that will update a custom numeric field named “Sequence”. This field will run on the Project object and then assign a numeric value to every Milestone regardless of how many.For example:Milestone1 = 1001Milestone2 = 2001Milestone3 = 3001etc. The issue I am having is the variable I am configuring within the rule only provides me the last Milestone value and then assigns it to all the Milestones. Per my example above, there are 3 Milestones and the last Sequence value is 3001. All 3 Milestones are given this value creating an undesired duplication when ran on Sub Items from Project object.  Question: Is there a way to make this run so that the values are specified correctly per my example above without the duplication?

Planview AdaptiveWorkHi,Do dynamic layouts override profile layouts? And where do views figure in this picture? What layout will the views take?I also noticed while creating views that there are 5 options:one column layout two columns layout work plan layout resource planning layout financial planning layoutAt the project level, I have tried creating views using the 5 layout options and realise that there are some default info in each of the layouts that I do not need. How do I change/ edit, say, the resource planning layout?Any guidance will be highly appreciated.Regards

ContextAt the end of the Planning phase, Program Managers build the full program schedule (stages, tasks, durations, dependencies) and take a single Planning & Scheduling Baseline. Current guidance allows only one such baseline at that point.ProblemWhen scope changes after planning (e.g., an Amendment / +Change to the original MSA ), there is no mechanism in Planview to:take an additional Planning & Scheduling Baseline, and associate that new baseline to the specific amendment/SOW it supports.This prevents clear traceability between contractual changes and the schedule state that was agreed at that time.

In a configured screen you are able to create a component that is an Internal Reference Link.  We have this today as in Internal Reference Link to Risk & Issues.  We are migrating our Risks and Issues to Logbook, and would like to replace that Internal Reference Link to Logbook.  I did not see this choice being available.  Will this be an option in the future?  Thank you...

We are trying to limit which users can utilize which attributes within the portfolio definition. We have restricted the “View” and “Edit” features of the attribute, but all users can still see the attributes we are trying to restrict to a specific group. Is there anyway to lock down the access to these attributes on the portfolio definition screen?

Hello Portfolios Community,This might have been a change within the last week or so as I did not notice this for the September release notes recently. Previously when navigating to release notes we’d navigate to Customer Success Center > Documentation > Portfolios> Product Releases > New Feature Upgrade Guide and be presented with a grid. The grid would have 3 columns, the major section (i.e General Updates, Work, Resources), the sub-section (i.e FastTrack Analytics, Data Sources) and then the list of updates and the date (month YYYY) in which they released. Clicking on a sub-section would then take you to a separate page for that sub-section with all the headings for release items as well as additional details and screenshots (similar to how we currently see them with the monthly releases). Currently when we navigate to New Feature Upgrade Guide we have a dropdown list with the major sections as collapsible but no navigation to the secondary sub-sec
