Has anyone ever looked behind the curtains at their flow time and noticed the amount of variability in the data?For most of my customers, the flow time ranges from 0 days (yes a lot of 0s exist in the number), to 600+ days. When you stare at this data long enough, you start to see what appear to be lanes in the traffic.The fast lane has work which completes in a few days or less. This is transactional work. On some teams there is a high volume of this work. The pro-tip to improve flow for the fast lane is to automate or eliminate the need to do this work at all.There also appears to be the slow lane which rides atop the data. This data has flow times exceeding a year in many cases. This is the realm of almost abandoned work. At one point it sounded like a great idea, but something else more urgent superseded it. A couple of weeks ago, somebody managed to switch off the ‘Use ProjectPlace’ global setting which supports the syncing of PP cards with Portfolios (we’re still trying to work out how this happened...)That’s left us with 2 weeks worth of card updates which haven’t flowed through to Portfolios.  Many of these cards are now closed so will never be touched again.Does anyone know - Is there a way to force-sync ProjectPlace cards to update Portfolios actions?

We are using Team member profile with full license but I want to display different columns in scheduling view of project. Is it possible?can we create another profile with same access rights as Team member but with full licence? Then I will be able to assign different views. 

I am creating a project template. It will have 3 milestone and 1 task in each milestone. I want to add resources to the task automatically based on user groups created region wise.if region is UK then resource should be user group from UK region. If region is APAC then the resource should automatically pick the user group from APAC region. How to save it in Project template and milestone template.

Hi Planview friends,Does anyone have a quick reference guide for their end users on when to use which product to use for what? We use Planview Portfolios, ProjectPlace, AgilePlace, IdeaPlace and Roadmaps.  We are a large organization so we frequently are talking about “What is Planview”, “What Product should I use for my specific purpose”, “What is the difference between AgilePlace and ProjectPlace?”.  Although I feel I have a good handle on explaining them, it does take a bit and I wondered if there was a good one pager or site to address these questions most efficiently.Thank you in advance for your help!

We are newly getting into PowerBI reporting and would like increase the datamart update frequency from once a day.    Does anyone have experience with this?  If so, what frequency is working for you?   Thanks!

Hello, I would like to bulk upload expenses within referenced expense sheets/containers. In my spreadsheet I’ve referenced the related expense sheet/container to house the expenses (2024 Expenses for Kayla) but when I upload them, it ends up creating new individual expense sheets rather than within the referenced expense sheet. For example, below I’ve used the external ID of “2024 Expenses for Kayla”  But when I upload, it creates the expense as an expense sheet/container instead: Does anyone have experience with this or what I may by missing? We have a department-wide project with multiple resources each assigned their own task under 1 milestone. The project spans several months. Each resource records their time on their timesheet whenever they work on the task. At this stage, a lot of the work is filler work. Staff works on this project whenever time allows. I’ve been asked to create a monthly report to see each resources’ weekly timesheet activity. Example:JuneResource 1 (1.75 Hrs)6/04: .25 hrs 6/05: .5 hrs 6/18: 1 hr Resource 2 (9 hrs)6/11: 3 hrs 6/21: 5 hrs 6/25: 1 hr I cannot edit any out of the box Time Tracking reports, and I’m struggling to create it myself. Hello community,I would like to know if you are aware of any alternatives for creating copies of projects in Adaptive Work. Here are the challenges we’ve encountered with the existing methods: Copying and Pasting Schedules: When we copy and paste the schedule from the original project to another project, dependencies are created between the activities of both projects, even altering the original schedule. Excel Import/Export Functionality: While using the import/export functionality in Excel, the activity IDs remain linked between both projects. If we remove the IDs, it affects the hierarchy of activities and subordinates. MS Project Import/Export: When importing MS Project files into Adaptive Work, the dates are restricted as “user-defined,” preventing automatic planning calculations (such as dates and durations). When attempting to make copies of projects with a large number of activities using any of the three alternatives mentioned above, it requires a very tedious and complica

Does anyone use a “template” for their project Plan/Schedule? We use a very similar plan for a large number of our projects and it would be nice to have a template that these project plans could be built from and then dates and specifics just filled in. I don’t see a way to do that other than having a “Template” project in the system and having the PM go into that project and copy the Plan and paste it into their project. Is this the most efficient way to accomplish the task? Let me know if you have any other ideas.Thanks!!

I have created a custom object and link is created at project level and task level. In my project the PM should enter the rows at project level. And team members should update different columns for same rows. But same rows are not reflecting under milestone tasks. The custom object at task level is showing blank even though the rows are added at project level.Is there a way to sync the data?let me know in case i need to share the custom object sample here for better understanding.

Has anyone tried using WalkMe with Portfolios? We looked into it a while back and found it not to be worth the effort, but that wasn’t recent. I’m wondering if it has improved. It seems to me that there was something about Portfolios that made it hard to get content associated with specific screens or parts of the UI. Knowing some pros and cons would be very helpful.Questions include:Is it cost prohibitive? Does it require specific skills to set up? How much work is involved in getting it up and running? Is the maintenance load heavy?Thanks!Sue Ann Kendall

Whilst our PMs follow good discipline on the route of Require, Reserve, Allocate, and start with the best intentions, once the project is in full flow, on going management of those assignments tend to drop off. Does anyone know of a good training page / summary, perhaps, an equivalent call out diagram to the “Elements of the Timesheet Screen” in the success centre, which can help PMs manage their assignments on their Portfolios project?

I’m hoping to explain this as well as possible.Can I create a report for my resources, showing all their Authorizations, instead of looking up each employee individually?Currently, I look up a resource, click on ellipsis to the left of their name, then select Authorizations.I was really hoping there was some kind of report I could run, to see them all once.Any suggestions?ThanksSteve

Can I assign and delete tasks at the user level? Use Case: We have hundreds of projects and if someone new joins, or terminates, I have to manually go into each project and add or remove them. There has to be something I am missing that I can simply add bulk projects to one project and not have to go in to each one.
