I need to create custom action to delete current milestone and set the previous milestone as current one. Has anyone tried and can help?i do not want to use the inbuilt delete button in ribbon. In that profile we do not give delete option in ribbon.

The Roadmap feature for Project or Portfolio work plans as a ton of potential, but is hard to get value from in current state. Here are a few quick hitting ideas that could make this feature a lot more valuable to organizations like ours:Because there can be overlap in Milestone timelines, spacing out the Milestone bars into separate ‘collapsible/expandable rows’ would make it much easier to read (similar to a Gantt view from the milestone level, but on the roadmap). Ability to add Key Dates (i.e. an important task/milestone dates) as a callout to a specific project. Currently the Key Dates feature adds it generically to the roadmap and its manually created. This especially becomes unclear which project a date belongs to on a Portfolio roadmap. It would also be nice to just select a work item/date from the work plan. Ability to add roadmaps to a dashboard.

Hi all,Wondering if anyone knows a method of removing the email panel from a view.It appears that It is possible to move the panel around but not take it completely out.Cheers,Sean  

Hello,Is there a way to make a more seamless transition between the ‘Classic’ view & ‘Hybrid’ view without relying on the blue banner to make the switch? Currently our users spend most of their time in the ‘Classic’ view, but need to switch to ‘Hybrid’ view from time to time to use the Board and now Whiteboard. Ideally we would like to make a custom panel with some buttons in Classic view to navigate them to the correct sections of the ‘Hybrid’ view to make it more seamless + when we share a Board, they are often in the ‘Classic’ view and forget to switch to the ‘Hybrid’ view resulting in additional support reminding them to use the blue banner to switch over.Just wondering if anyone has had any luck to maybe setup a more seamless transition between ‘Classic’ & ‘Hybrid’ without fully relying on the blue banner to make the transition. Many Thanks,Sean 

I have multiple activities assigned to me and I've created multiple cards per activity to break down the tasks required to complete the activity. As Admin, can you add a column to the Resource Load view as a default column for all users to see or do individual users have to add it themselves? We wanted to add the reportable column in this instance so users could filter in Resource Load so they only see tasks where reportable is true/switched on...

We have projects that could have more than 200 activities.At the time the project manager has to add the user per activity; is there a way to add a user to multiple activities in a rapidly way?.   

We have added a Financial version called Actual Project Spend, where we are reporting "actuals" on projects, rather than using the Forecast Period date and letting Planview calculate the forecast / actuals based on that date.   No forecast costs are entered in the Actual Project Spend version. We are creating a custom version of the WRK14 report and our use of the Actual Project Spend version (FM: Working Version used when generating the report)   is causing the Forecast to Complete (and thus, the Forecast at Complete) to not calculate correctly.  I don't see a way to remove these columns from this report.   Is there a way we can change how they are calculated (or remove the columns completely) in the Financial Summary section of this report?

Hello AW community, Another Document Publisher question to find the right way for this advanced configuration…Use Case:I have a DocPublisher template that requires links back to Project in four ways…Project Link - Link in Word docx that will allow the reader to link back to the Project details page. Roadmap Link - typically DocPub uses a format thumbnail that shows the roadmap within the word docx. However, I am looking for a basic URL link back to AdaptiveWork that will bring up the Roadmap view only Gantt Link - Same as Roadmap Link above.  Tasks Link - This is at the task table level that runs through and lists all tasks that meet the criteria for the current/next period, etc. Looking to set the Task name column as a url link back to the task in AdaptiveWork.  A possible secondary solution could be to have a static custom field that shows the task URL and pull that into a separate column with the caption “Task Link” or similar. Hello AdaptiveWork Champions,  Typically this is relatively straight forward but running into all kinds of issues and could use some help. I am working with AdaptiveWork Emails related to Cases (Requests and Bugs) which is very old technology so it may simply not work anymore. However, here is what I am trying to accomplish…Use Case - update State field on related entity (Cases) when an email is received, specifically when email From is not equal to Assigned To. This will tell the system that the requestor has replied to the case and the State should be changed from Pending response to Work in Progress. However, I am running into the following issues…When building the Evaluation Criteria, I am not able to see Related Entity > <Cases Item>.Item Type to specify the rule to run only on Requests and Bugs with specific other data points. Fine, so I removed evaluation criteria to only run when the the related entity > ID was a certain value, still nothing Set evaluation to run al

Hello Community, I am stuck and need some config guidance on this one. I am using the Project Highlight Report to send an HTML formatted report showing Project data. The specific issue is with the Tasks tables (Last week Actuall Start date/ Actual End Date) and Next week (start/Due date). Issue: Regardless of the code I use, I am not able to show the Task Resources associated with each task in the list. It seems the variable that pulls the Resource is capturing the resource on the first task and then uses the same resources for every other task.  I need a solution that will iterate on Tasks (from PHR custom action on Project) that meet the PHR criteria and show the unique resource from each task. Is this possible? Current usage is the PPR: ResourcesDisplay field but that pre-populates every time the # of resources changes. This does not show the true Resource on the Task. I changed this to run as a variable to pull the task resource but ran into the issue above where the resource for e

Hello,When entering new expenditures in the project plans, our users are required to enter the invoice number and the supplier. However, it happens that two different suppliers issue invoices with the same number, and we are therefore blocked by the tool, which does not accept two expenses with the same invoice number. How do you manage this situation?We are also considering the possibility of adding a prefix to the invoice number, but as the field is limited to 20 characters, we are hesitant to choose this solution.Thank you for your help!

Just wondering if anyone else is having an issue of predecessors being deleted when moving a task in Portfolios? Just moving or cut/past of task to any other location and the the link is gone.
