Hello!We are facing some challenges with the duration of some tasks. We are working with Fixed duration tasks and the duration is changing without intervention from the project manager or team member. Has anyone experience this? How can we figure out what’s causing this change / solve it?Thanks

Our resources are located all over the world and as a Project / Program Manager we need to be able to see in Portfolios when the resource and project calendars misalign.  We are looking to create an alert or flag to notify them when there is such a discrepancy that requires their intervention.   When searching CSC, I have not been able to locate articles or suggestions on how we can supply them with that without using “AdaptiveWork” which is not in the budget. 

Hello Community, I am trying to build a workflow that will update a custom numeric field named “Sequence”. This field will run on the Project object and then assign a numeric value to every Milestone regardless of how many.For example:Milestone1 = 1001Milestone2 = 2001Milestone3 = 3001etc. The issue I am having is the variable I am configuring within the rule only provides me the last Milestone value and then assigns it to all the Milestones. Per my example above, there are 3 Milestones and the last Sequence value is 3001. All 3 Milestones are given this value creating an undesired duplication when ran on Sub Items from Project object.  Question: Is there a way to make this run so that the values are specified correctly per my example above without the duplication?

Planview AdaptiveWorkHi,Do dynamic layouts override profile layouts? And where do views figure in this picture? What layout will the views take?I also noticed while creating views that there are 5 options:one column layout two columns layout work plan layout resource planning layout financial planning layoutAt the project level, I have tried creating views using the 5 layout options and realise that there are some default info in each of the layouts that I do not need. How do I change/ edit, say, the resource planning layout?Any guidance will be highly appreciated.Regards

Hello! Is there a way to expand a text box within a form in AdaptiveWork? I know I can change the CSS in Global setting but that only allows me to make the default size of forms to wider or narrower. Scrolls do appear within the frame of the text box when the content is longer than the height of the text box, but it is annoying not being able to see what I typed at the very top without scrolling up. Hi,I have been reading about API keys here: https://success.clarizen.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011833079-API-Keys-Support and have hope someone here has experience about key management, especially with respect to their expiry.The systems I will be having to give API access into AdaptiveWork are likely to be externally managed, so there will be time and cost associated with changing keys, and I am obviously trying to avoid any time periods where the external system cannot access AdaptiveWork.I understand how to create an API key, but see that it has an expiry set on it by default of, I think, a year. Is there any way to create a key with a longer expiry (so I don’t need to worry about this ever ideally)?If not, is there any way to extend the expiry date so a fresh key is not required? (and ideally generate a remin

**EDIT:  The title should read “Effort to Duration Ratio”.  I don’t appear to be able to edit the title**Hello everyone.I want to produce a report that shows a ratio of how long it takes to deliver a project vs how much effort was assigned to it.I’d also like to assign the same formula to actual cost vs budget assigned.For example:  100 hours assigned but 200 hours duration would be a ratio of 2 - its taken twice as long to deliver as the hours assigned.  This is a key metric for us at it allows us to see how quickly we can deliver projects.The calculation is simple enough - $Duration / $BudgetedHours.  But I receive the following error: “Error: Formula evaluation result data type is Numeric instead of expected Duration" Thanks for any assistance

I have got a workflow rule that runs on an update to risk/issues, counting the total # of open risk/issues (by status) from the parent project. The counts returned are incorrect when the workflow runs it, but noticed that if it simply runs a second or two later it is correct.What’s the best way to incorporate a pause or delay to avoid this problem?

HiPlanView AdaptiveWorkOne of the excel templates for global custom fiscal calendar setup contains start of the month, end of the month and number of days in the month (which are computed in the excel sheet by formula). We did that and then imported the template. But there is hardly any noticeable change.Which makes me wonder what difference does global custom fiscal calendar make in processing of data?Any pointers will be highly appreciated.Regards

Hi everyone,For reporting purposes, I need to display — at project level — two specific fields:One showing only open risks One showing only open issuesBy “open” I mean those in status: Submitted, Opened, or In Work.Currently, I’m using the standard Risks and Issues fields from the project entity, but these include all related items, regardless of status, and they are not editable.I tried modifying the report by including Cases as related data, applying filters on status. This works in terms of filtering, but it breaks the structure of the report: I end up with one row per open case, while I need one row per project.Has anyone found a way to:Filter risks and issues by status at the project level? Or aggregate open risks/issues into a single field or count per project?Any suggestions or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance,Fabrizio

Hi there! I’m trying to create a report to show incomplete timesheets by resource(based on a 37.5 hour work week). I’ve had success generating a report to populate the total submitted and approved time...but am struggling to calculate a resources missing time. When I create the calculation “37.5 hours - timesheet duration” it gives me an error: Error: Data types Numeric and Duration not compatible for '-' operation. Any ideas or recommendations are greatly appreciated :)

Hello,Anybody knows how i can bulk edit permissions on an important amount of action items ?And also automatically apply permissions when the action item is created in the project ?

I am importing a project WBS and I am building a data loader import to capture the predecessor information for each workitem as a DependencyLinks import. In the source data, some of the Lag durations are in workdays (d) and some are in calendar days (ed). ed basically includes weekends, holidays, etc.  Is there a way to indicate the difference between these two duration types for my import?

I want to check if we can remove the license from Planview AdaptiveWork when an account is disabled. We are using Azure AD as an IDP. Though we remove the member from SSO group, license assignment is still in place within AdaptiveWork. So, how to remove the license when an account is disabled in AD and removed from SSO group?
