JB ICE Duplicate tasks in the schedule

Hello, Issue Adaptive WorkPlease review the following project and the attached image, as we were unable to identify what caused the activities to appear duplicated in this schedule. It can be verified in the images that the activities are the same as they have the same ID.We tried to recreate the situation using the Copy/Paste option and we tried the export and import option in Excel and in neither situation were the activities duplicated, so we do not understand what caused this problem.  Regards Jhon

Objectives, Targets and Contributions | Reporting

Hi Planview Community! As mentioned before, we are trying to work with the Objectives, Target and Contributions module in AW. It’s proving to be a bit tricky! So, I wanted to ask if any of you use it, and if so, do you report from it? How?  We tried creating some reports, but failed magnifincelty. We looked for the data model, but it doesn’t seem to include them. Does anyone know if there is an updated version of the data model that includes them?Thanks a lot!

RES12 - Pending Timesheetets

Hello everyone,Has anyone else noticed that the RES12 - Pending Timesheets report doesn’t display missing timesheets if a resource has never submitted a single timesheet?I’d love to hear if anyone has found alternative solutions (aside from using the "Resources Never Submitted Timesheets" tile). While that tile technically helps, it adds extra work and limits our use of the out-of-the-box report, which ideally should include this data.Has anyone else been forced to use a custom solution instead of the FastTrack report because of this issue? Would really appreciate any insights or workarounds that have worked for you!

Undo Or Restore Production

Hello!Desperate need of help. I created an org calendar based upon our 2025 financial budget to account for planned PTO as we are not utilizing actual PTO/timesheets. It ruined all of our projects that had previous resource allocations, and changed everything… I’m talking 500+ projects and thousands of resources. Is there a way to undo what I did, or restore the allocations?

Actual Timesheets vs. Project Assignment Reporting

Hello PV community,I’m in need of some advice to create a report that shows resources actual timesheets vs. their project assessments.I started off with creating a report with the structure below, but when I run it, it shows the actual approved time as blank...even though I’ve check that there are in fact Approved Time to the listed projects.Any advice on creating such a report or what I may be doing wrong? We are currently evaluating Logbook, and a question came up from one of our managers.  Once Logbook goes live, is there a way to disable the current CRI module?  Or do we have to remove permissions and disable tiles/reports?

Suggestions for a project not adding hrs accurately?

I have a single project that is not counting all of the hours logged in it (all approved). 10h were worked but the project sums are only recognizing 9h. I submitted a support ticket which was escalated to Tier 3, who hasn’t responded in more than a month.  Has anyone else experienced this with a project?  Was there any solution provided?

Line Detail for Expense Costs - Limited to one Expense Cost Type on Financial Plan

Hi, Within Planview Portfolios we have an attribute Expense Cost Type that is tied to the Financial Account “Expense”. Expense Cost Type has the following values:Hardware  Marketing Ongoing Expenses Other One Tine Expenses Professional Services (Exp) Research & Development Software (Licensing) Training  Travel. Our issue is that we can only have one of each category per work entity within the Financial Plan. We have projects where there are multiple “Professional Services (Exp)” contracts. We would like to keep the information distinct for each contact vs. having to roll-up the cost into one Expense under “Professional Services (Exp)”.  We looked at using “Expenditure Type”. It does allow us to create multiple “Professional Services (Exp)” and thereby keep the contract cost information distinct. Yet when we load the multiple “Expenditure Type” values into the Financial Plan they are summarized into one line.Short of adding additional attribute values Expense Cost Type is there anot

Custom Object for dynamic scoring

Hi All!I am brand new to AdaptiveWork / Clarizen and trying to grasp how something like this would be built, and/or how easy it would be.Use Case:  We have about 20 fields with associated score values, and we wish to use the score values in a formula to calculate another field.Approach:  Rather than hardcoding the score values within a formula, I created a Custom Object with the possible field values and the associated scores. This seems easier to maintain than a ton of code. Also, I’m trying to learn how the product works so it’s also just for my curiousity.Question:  How hard is it to create Business Rule that looks at a field value, and then does a lookup to a record in a Custom Object and retrieve the Score value? I was able to get as far as retrieving a value from the Custom Object by using the GetObjectByID function, but only when I hardcoded in the ID.  I am looking to do a join on the Name field rather than ID between my request field and the possible entries of the Custom Obje

Inquiry about PV Portfolios Integration with AgilePlace

Hello,I am trying to integrate PV Portfolios with AgilePlace, specifically from a Project Container to a Work Item in AgilePlace, but I am unable to create the integration since AgilePlace does not have Project Containers. Could anyone let me know if it is possible to achieve this integration in some other way?Thank you in advance.

We were in the process of testing mobile access to portfolios in our sandbox environment. After the update last night, the option is gone to enable it and we can no longer access it. Does anyone know what happened to it? I looked through the October release slides and did not see any information about it.

Resetting user-set filters on a report

Hi Community,I have a report which is expected to be run via a button on a view of the project - the button (which is a custom URL field) passes in the Project name to an action which generates the report - see bottom of this email for how this works.My problem is that occasionally, the more enthusiastic users try editing the filters on the report so generated to see the data in a different way. Unfortunately, if they remove the filter, running the report via the button causes an error as their instance of the report is not expecting the field which is passed in. As an Admin, is there any way to reset the filters on user’s instance of a report remotely? Stage Gates

Our Governance team is looking to update to a more “gated” process. We have seen some information on the Success Center regarding Stage Gates in Portfolios and I see that there is a Gated Work Dashboard available however I do not see a lot of information on configuring Portfolios to support this type of configuration. I am curious if others are using stage gates and how you have set it up, if you have any documentation you can direct me to, etc. We have used phases as sort of “gates” in the past and can go with that option again, but if there is a better way, or a specific way of doing it in Planview we would like to pursue/understand that as well.Thanks!Robin

Custom Field on time phased data for reporting - not showing up

I can’t get my custom field to show in report creation. I’m creating a custom field which is just :$ActualEffort / Days(21)So that the result is numeric as an approximation for FTE equivalent. I create on labour time phased data - but it will not show up when building a report. Any ideas?

Not all work is equal. How do you know your team is working on the most important work?

Often when I do an analysis for customers, I find that less than 10% of the work that is currently in progress (work that has been started and not yet completed) is the priority (strategic, linked to improving the desired business results/OKRs).I find that because there is a prioritized backlog per team, with separate priorities per team, or teams working on different priority features that lower priority work is often focused on at the expense of higher priority work.This is very different from the original scrum notion of a single ordered product backlog where the available capacity swarms around the highest priority item(s), making sure any priority work that gets blocked gets unblocked rather than instead pulling in lower priority work to make sure everyone “stays busy”. What are some tips or tricks that you use to ensure your team is working on the highest priority, value add work? Some practices that I see used that come to mind include:Ensuring the desired, measurable business r

When adding a note to a request (i.e. from the Project staffing screen) is the designated staffer notified via email?  and when the designated staffer reply’s back - is the project manager getting an email?  We are not seeing where this would happen.

Missing Timesheets

Hello Planview Community,I’m reaching out to see if anyone here is tracking missing timesheets in their cases, specifically focusing on the number of unreported hours that will not be recharged.Currently, we rely on two tables: time_planned and time_reported. However, we're encountering some limitations:time_planned only shows the scheduled effort values per assignment and time reporting periods as they were prior to each progressing cycle. time_reported doesn’t display records if a resource has never submitted a timesheet, meaning we’re unable to track missing timesheets until the resource logs at least one timesheet.This also impacts the RES12 report, which has the same limitation. We've already reported this as a bug and, after a lengthy process, it was acknowledged as an issue. However, there’s no clear timeline for when this will be resolved.Is anyone else in a similar situation, where they need to assess the financial impact of missing timesheets? Non Labor - How to have multiple times the same non labor item (name) within a project, with different additional fields

I need to distinguish in my projects different non-labor expenses categories. This distinction shall be done per location. Example : “non-labor resources A” for location A, and “non-labor resources A” for location B.One of the solution would be to differentiate in the non-labor resources list them (ie “non-labor resources A location A” and a second one “non-labor resources A location B”). Doing so, the list of choices proposed to the project manager will explode (in my case more than 60), which will not be that easy for the userIve seen in the last AW documentation (see below) that there is an example with “vendor” column, whcih can be edited. Does it mean that i can have (to stay in the example below) multiple times “Telephone” with different vendor? Or there is still the limitation that the non labor resources can be used only once ?Any idea how i can solve my issue?
