Hi, I’d like to understand the process in dealing with the below scenario.When a ticket is moved in progress in an active sprint and then moved to the backlog, should the status be updated to Open?Will the Flow Time continue to calculate on the ticket or will time pause when a ticket is moved in backlog?

Hi everyone,I’d love your feedback on the short video we put in Planview Viz that shows an example of integrating Viz into daily scrum ceremonies. The goal is to show how teams can keep work up-to-date, address bottlenecks, unblock work stuck in wait states, and maintain a balanced workload while prioritizing critical work.We also highlight how adding Timeline events can help make disruptions and delays visible, giving teams the visibility they need to take proactive action.I often hear that team members are interrupted, or blocked waiting on a skill set, or a code merge or other frustrating blockers preventing them from keeping their work flowing. We’d love to make this more visible to help not only teams, but their customers and business. Does the video clearly communicate these benefits? As Admin, can you add a column to the Resource Load view as a default column for all users to see or do individual users have to add it themselves? We wanted to add the reportable column in this instance so users could filter in Resource Load so they only see tasks where reportable is true/switched on...

We have projects that could have more than 200 activities.At the time the project manager has to add the user per activity; is there a way to add a user to multiple activities in a rapidly way?.   

We have added a Financial version called Actual Project Spend, where we are reporting "actuals" on projects, rather than using the Forecast Period date and letting Planview calculate the forecast / actuals based on that date.   No forecast costs are entered in the Actual Project Spend version. We are creating a custom version of the WRK14 report and our use of the Actual Project Spend version (FM: Working Version used when generating the report)   is causing the Forecast to Complete (and thus, the Forecast at Complete) to not calculate correctly.  I don't see a way to remove these columns from this report.   Is there a way we can change how they are calculated (or remove the columns completely) in the Financial Summary section of this report?  

Can anyone share a snippet they’ve used to copy a Rich Text field into a Text Area?  Looking to remove the html markup and extra tags for ease of display in grid views/ other areas. Thanks!

Hello AW community, Another Document Publisher question to find the right way for this advanced configuration…Use Case:I have a DocPublisher template that requires links back to Project in four ways…Project Link - Link in Word docx that will allow the reader to link back to the Project details page. Roadmap Link - typically DocPub uses a format thumbnail that shows the roadmap within the word docx. However, I am looking for a basic URL link back to AdaptiveWork that will bring up the Roadmap view only Gantt Link - Same as Roadmap Link above.  Tasks Link - This is at the task table level that runs through and lists all tasks that meet the criteria for the current/next period, etc. Looking to set the Task name column as a url link back to the task in AdaptiveWork.  A possible secondary solution could be to have a static custom field that shows the task URL and pull that into a separate column with the

Hello AdaptiveWork Champions,  Typically this is relatively straight forward but running into all kinds of issues and could use some help. I am working with AdaptiveWork Emails related to Cases (Requests and Bugs) which is very old technology so it may simply not work anymore. However, here is what I am trying to accomplish…Use Case - update State field on related entity (Cases) when an email is received, specifically when email From is not equal to Assigned To. This will tell the system that the requestor has replied to the case and the State should be changed from Pending response to Work in Progress. However, I am running into the following issues…When building the Evaluation Criteria, I am not able to see Related Entity > <Cases Item>.Item Type to specify the rule to run only on Requests and Bugs with specific other data points. Hello Community, I am stuck and need some config guidance on this one. I am using the Project Highlight Report to send an HTML formatted report showing Project data. The specific issue is with the Tasks tables (Last week Actuall Start date/ Actual End Date) and Next week (start/Due date). Issue: Regardless of the code I use, I am not able to show the Task Resources associated with each task in the list. It seems the variable that pulls the Resource is capturing the resource on the first task and then uses the same resources for every other task.  I need a solution that will iterate on Tasks (from PHR custom action on Project) that meet the PHR criteria and show the unique resource from each task. Is this possible? Current usage is the PPR: ResourcesDisplay field but that pre-populates every time the # of resources changes. This does not show the true Resource on the Task. Hello,When entering new expenditures in the project plans, our users are required to enter the invoice number and the supplier. However, it happens that two different suppliers issue invoices with the same number, and we are therefore blocked by the tool, which does not accept two expenses with the same invoice number. How do you manage this situation?We are also considering the possibility of adding a prefix to the invoice number, but as the field is limited to 20 characters, we are hesitant to choose this solution.Thank you for your help!

Just wondering if anyone else is having an issue of predecessors being deleted when moving a task in Portfolios? Just moving or cut/past of task to any other location and the the link is gone.

Hello,We’re beginning our journey using Portfolios’ Rest API.While pretty straightforward in its use, there is one undocumented option that we are struggling with.Using the Work endpoint API, the /public-api/v1/work query has a ‘filters’ parameter that does not have more extended syntax documentation than what we found on the Success Center The single provided example for a work item (that is, a task below PPM) is: project.Id .eq 1906This is a little odd because when looking at the project data type, there is no Id attribute, instead we’d usually use projet.structureCode or project.shortNameWe tried applying a similar filter on those attributes but always got a HTTP 400 Bad Request response. 

I’m sure most people are aware of the enhancement request campaign in IdeaPlace for Portfolios. What keeps you up at night? We are in the process of creating brief videos to highlight how to use Planview Viz and Flow Metrics in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Retro, PI/Quarterly Planning and similar. Is there any particuar topics you’d like to see addressed? 

Often when I do an analysis for customers, I find that less than 10% of the work that is currently in progress (work that has been started and not yet completed) is the priority (strategic, linked to improving the desired business results/OKRs).I find that because there is a prioritized backlog per team, with separate priorities per team, or teams working on different priority features that lower priority work is often focused on at the expense of higher priority work.This is very different from the original scrum notion of a single ordered product backlog where the available capacity swarms around the highest priority item(s), making sure any priority work that gets blocked gets unblocked rather than instead pulling in lower priority work to make sure everyone “stays busy”. What are some tips or tricks that you use to ensure your team is working on the highest priority, value add work? Some practices that I see used that come to mind include:

When adding a note to a request (i.e. from the Project staffing screen) is the designated staffer notified via email?  and when the designated staffer reply’s back - is the project manager getting an email?  We are not seeing where this would happen.
