Hi Community,I have a report which is expected to be run via a button on a view of the project - the button (which is a custom URL field) passes in the Project name to an action which generates the report - see bottom of this email for how this works.My problem is that occasionally, the more enthusiastic users try editing the filters on the report so generated to see the data in a different way. Unfortunately, if they remove the filter, running the report via the button causes an error as their instance of the report is not expecting the field which is passed in. As an Admin, is there any way to reset the filters on user’s instance of a report remotely? Hello, good morning,If we manage rates by Job title in the system, we have seen that changing the job title modifies the project rates in the past, present and future.Is there any parameterization that allows the project finances to be maintained with the rates of the job titles that the resources had associated at some point?If the client changes the resource's Job title, what would be the best practice to rate the projects so that this situation does not affect the finances of previous periods in which the resource had another job title? RegardsJhon

When using the ‘replace resource’ function, we note the individual being replaced is automatically set to 100% and marked as an ‘inactive human resource’. However, we wanted to reinstate them on a project as staffing arrangements had changed, but we couldn’t do this. We had thought an Administrator might be able to override the default setting to 100% or that the individual themselves could override this but neither was successful. How do we reinstate them to tasks or projects where they have previously been replaced using the replace resource function?

Hello PV community,I’m in need of some advice to create a report that shows resources actual timesheets vs. their project assessments.I started off with creating a report with the structure below, but when I run it, it shows the actual approved time as blank...even though I’ve check that there are in fact Approved Time to the listed projects.Any advice on creating such a report or what I may be doing wrong? Hi All, I am trying to create a workflow which calculates the number of days a request has spent in each state( for ex days spent in Submitted,Active,Planning,Onhold state), could anyone be able to help with the steps on this workflow?

I can’t get my custom field to show in report creation. I’m creating a custom field which is just :$ActualEffort / Days(21)So that the result is numeric as an approximation for FTE equivalent. I create on labour time phased data - but it will not show up when building a report. Any ideas? 

Hi Planview community,We are introducing benefit realisation into our organisation and are interested in keeping language and terminology coherent throughout.We’ve noticed that the whole Objectives, Targets, and Contributions module is fit to tailor, and we love that 😍. However, we have encountered some cases in which customisation wasn’t possible.We were able to rename Targets to Benefits but failed to adjust the terminology in the “Related Items” section.Maybe some of you have found a way to adjust this? Hello PV Community, Seeking some advice on how to configure an email notification for when a new owner is assigned to a Risk and Action. I’ve got the action configured but could use some help on configuring the email notification.  What field can I input so in the email it shows the Risk’s associated Customer, Project and Link? When I select Formula Options, Project nor Customer is available to select.  I am sure there is a field somewhere that links the risk to the project it’s created under and I won’t have to create a new custom field.Appreciate any guidance. From within my strategies, i am able to run my financial however all negative values are showing as brackets and not a minus sign. How do i change this?

Hello community,We have been provided some Custom Actions and Workflow Rules by a consultant and they just don’t work as promised. I’m trying to debug them myself but can’t find the tools that would inform me on the progress of the running actions/rules or where things are going wrong.I thought the Process Monitor might be helpful when a long-running process takes place (like a Custom Action looping through and processing 100+ records) but I see nothing there.And the Support article for Process Monitor doesn’t actually explain what Triggers the monitoring to begin! Can I cause monitoring to begin and to report out? What actions get “monitored”?If not there, where else can I see any helpful information about why my Custom Action processed only 1 record out of the 20 I expected to load data into Financials and update each row’s status in this Custom Object?This consultant has said that sometimes processes get ‘stuck’ without sharing how to un-stick them (or know if they’re stuck or just

Hello,We have a range of Projects where we want to setup a Project specific rate.Currently we use the ‘Prices and Rates’ functionality within the Work Plan (Resourcing tab) to acheive this, but we have to set the rate for each Resource line by line.Does anyone know of a way to use a Custom Action or Workflow to try and bulk update these impacted Resources on a Project or for when a Resource is newly added to a Project in future to apply a set Project rate?Currently we’re looking in the ‘Resource’ → ‘Assigned’ → ‘All Links’ in Configuration to see if this is possible.  Many Thanks,Sean

The only way I have been able to create capacity less than 1.0 for users is by creating calendars in sub-groups. My org is large and we have many many non 1.0 employees, and at varying %FTEs. How have you handled this at large? I can’t manually keep up with it every week...

Hello Planview Community! I’m looking for some help to develop a workflow that triggers when the project Resources field has been updated with a new resource. When adding a new resource, we would like for that resource’s direct manager to automatically be added as a Reviewer to the project.  This will help streamline some of our stakeholder management. Instead of PMs having to manually look up the direct managers for status reports, they will automatically be listed as a Reviewer. 

I have a unique need to setup the TE Line(s) for our engineering community is a way that once Requirements are set to that TE Line NOTHING (except for the project manager updating) modifies the Start and End dates.  I fully understand that this is not how the system is designed, and again stress this is a unique situation that I am looking for advice / “work around”.  Inputs and recommendations are very much appreciated.
