Hello Community,My goal is to create a portfolio report showing highlights and graphs of all the Go-Live dates for the projects in the portfolio. One of the highlights Id like to show is the number of Projects with a Go Live Date This Month..Next Month...etc. in one tab...anyone have ideas or experience with this?  Many thanks!

Did you know that you can configure recurring entries to automatically appear on future timesheets in PPM Pro? You can pin a timesheet entry so that it keeps the entry on all the timesheets after the one where pinning occurred. So now you don’t need to manually go and search projects and tasks every single time you enter the timesheets.Here is how it works. Step 1: For entering the time sheet entries go to timesheet from the side section and click on add new  Step 2: Select the project and add the all the time sheet details. Select the box for pinning the time sheet entry. Save the entry Step 3: Now while you are entering the timesheet on an upcoming week you can see the timesheet entry that has been pinned in the past.  

Hello Community, is there a way to mass upload information for existing users without AW creating new users? I’m looking to add resource ID’s to our existing users in AW but when I import the spreadsheet with the existing names and IDs, it creates completely new users resulting in duplicate users.  Many thanks!

Team,We utilize versions to manage rate increases at the start of each financial year, beginning on July 1st annually.To control the application of new rates for each financial year, we employ the "Forecast using Date Effective Rates" toggle at the project level.In testing, I observed that:When the toggle is activated and a task spans across the financial year, it appropriately applies different rate card versions before and after July 1st. However, when a task commences on or after July 1st, it consistently applies the new rate, irrespective of the toggle's status. This diverges from our expectations, as we anticipate the default rate card version to be utilized if the toggle is deactivated, regardless of when a task begins.Could you please clarify the expected behavior? Thanks,Cindy

Hello! My organization has the Salesforce integration set up, to create projects based on some Salesforce triggers. We have also enabled the Salesforce /AdaptiveWork “Sync Social” feature so that posts from SF synchronize with those from AW and vice versa.  The issue is that whenever posts written by someone without an AW license are synchronized from SFDC, they all show as being written by me, being the system admin and default workflow user. This not great as obviously we want to keep track on who was actually responding to the questions and conversations; and keep track of that data. I assume changing the default workflow user from myself to some integration user would not be enough as it still show the user as having generated those conversations as opposed to the real users, unless I’m mistaken. Is there a way around this?

Hello,  Hoping someone can help us please- We want to change everyone we have in Planview portfolios, so that people can only book 70% of people’s time, so that we are protecting 30% for other activities.   I know we could add everyone the activities in but its a big admin job, I have seen on other questions on here, that you can amend calendars but this looks to be for individuals (please correct me if that is wrong and it can be done for everyone in one go?) Thanks!  

Hello community,I’m wondering if anyone has figured out how to change any values that come up as ?ERROR to a 0 value instead for field calculations within a report? Much appreciated! 

We’ve just implemented the Skills attribute for our resources and wanted to start doing some reporting.  I’ve been digging through the documentation on the Success Center and while there is a table where the work multi-select fields (MULTI_ATTRIBUTE), I can’t seem to find where the equivalent table exists for Resources.  Any ideas?  We are looking to add the Skills to the Resource Portfolio Dashboard.

Hi community - I have a user who has left the company. I’ve deleted his profile and I’m trying to remove him from a user group so that his hours are not factored into the team’s totals any longer. I’ve reassigned all of the future hours to another person on the team and I went back and pulled “On Hold” projects and removed him from those as well. Every time I try and delete him from the user group I get a Validation Error that says that it cannot delete him because there is a staffing request - but I can’t find anything active. Does anyone know where I can search to remove him so I can delete him from the user group completely?  

New to Project so maybe its just a configuration on our end.  But here goes:  Under the Financials section we entered yearly revenues for our projects. The revenue forecast line only seems to accommodate one type of revenue, one source. We have multiple sources we would like to enter, at a minimum two (domestic and international). Right now to solve this issue with a temporary fix: we entered the second source of revenue (Int'l) into "Actuals" and this is charted as such  this is not ideal. We would like to eventually create a consolidated portfolio revenue report giving visibility to these multiple types of revenues from multiple projects. Hello community, I’ve created a report with several calculated columns across multiple tabs for various capacity and billability metrics (i.e. 50% capacity calculation, 80% capacity calculation, screenshot below). Some of our resources have different billability targets hence “Billability from 100% capacity vs. Billability from 50% capacity” metrics.  I’d like to have an overall summary tab with a Highlight showing all the totaled capacity and billability. So a highlight totaling all the Green highlighted below fields and Yellow highlighted below fields. Is there a way to do this so the highlight pulls all the capacity fields from each tab and totals?  Tabs: 

We are just setting up AdaptiveWork so I’m interested in comments on best practices on groups for the purposes of rates and resourcing.  We will have Group Job Titles in order to form Placeholder Resources with different rates (for example a cost/billing rate for an Engineer is different in Europe vs Asia vs US).  I am curious if people use these same groups also for Resourcing Groups that have Resource Managers?   That would lead me to more hierarchy with sub-groups… For example, within a region like Europe, we would have a Mechanical Team that would have Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Lead Engineers, Mechanical Designers, etc.  that all have a common set of Resource Managers but different rates within the region.   What are some best practices to consider when setting up groups?

The ability to create project plan baselines is still in PPM Pro, but the ability to compare baselines and create a report seems to be moved to Reports (Legacy) and seems to be very limiting.Is there an updated approach to comparing task baselines? I can’t find one in Reports.TIA

Project Template: Another approach I explored was creating staffing requests from a project template. While this method successfully generated staffing requests, the values appeared incorrect or unusual. I'm eager to learn from your experiences and discover if there are alternative methods or best practices for achieving automated staffing request fulfillment. Curious what PV customers have their time periods setup to end at the end of a week AND end of the month.  We are exploring the option to set our time periods so they also end at the end of the month, which means that a time reporter may have to submit two timesheets within one week if that week is split between months.  What are the hidden pitfalls we could run into by doing this?

Does anyone know if there is a way to display the 0 values in column sets. We have numeric fields where the value can be value, in the field it says 0 but when you look at it from a portfolio in the column sets it just displays as blank

This seems like it would be obvious, but we are not finding an obvious solution to this:How does a Resource Manager get notified when a Resource (of a type they manage) is Requested? And then how does the Requestor (a PM) get a notification once a resource is approved and/or named resource is assigned?Assigning Resources is just one part of people’s jobs here so those Resource Managers are not sitting around watching AdaptiveWork, waiting to see new Requests 👀🙂Emails would be one thing we expect but do not find.  We’d prefer a Slack post (but that doesn’t seem to be how the Slack integration works). We’ve started using the Targeted Subscriptions to sending missing timesheet reports on Friday’s to our managers.  So far this is working well, but we can’t set the parameters to change the week.  We’d like to send out a report first thing Monday morning to managers on who has not submitted timesheets for prior weeks.  If we run the same job stream on a Monday it includes timesheets for the current week,We want to use the Targeted Subscriptions as we’ve setup a query that is based on Job Role.  This makes it so we don’t have to manually maintain the To and BCC fields that are on a started subscription.  The idea is this is automated and we don’t have to fiddle with a mailing list and can re use the same job stream.Is there a way to create a resource portfolio that ONLY contains resources with an Overdue or Disapproved timesheets?  Or has someone developed a solution that does something similar? 

We have four restricted fields in our project form however we have “show on filters and show on reports” checked off.  Only the three people in the restricted group can see those reports based on those fields.  Does “Show on reports” not mean what we think it means?  Does it mean it is only viewable to those that have access to that field?
